Wonder if their bubble has burst or they are just in a slump. Leeds is never an easy place to go but would fancy at least a draw.
Would mind a front two of Jimenez and Hwang if we could put Podence behind them but not sure we will see that. Not sure i wanna see a midfield three like yesterday and really really hope we do something about the wing backs situation and bring in Ait-Nouri to at least make having wing backs worth while.
Fair assessment of the situation Gemini but all good runs come to an end. Granted if we play as badly as we did against Southampton, you 100% will beat us, but I feel we’ll bounce back. That performance exposed our reliance on KP, Raph and Paddy but hopefully at least two of these will be fit on Saturday.
At Elland road after the last shambles id be very very surprised if we don't bounce back hard. Wounded animal is how I'd describe Leeds on Saturday, think we'll win at a canter just because Bielsa won't accept anything less after Saints. Cracking result at Villa for you guys, what a winner.
Good to see you put Villa to the sword and well done on your return to form. You had your problems last season after losing Jimenez and Diogo, and with Nuno having personal problems, but you are coming back strongly. However, Elland Road with a full house and a couple of our regulars back in the line-up will be no easy fixture for you. The result at Villa does not disguise the fact that for 80 minutes, you were dead and buried. No disputing your character to come back and steal the points, though. However, with Bamford, Raphinha and Phillips on board, you will face a much tougher team than the one we put out against the Saints, and one with a point to prove. Leeds to give the wolves a brand new brazilian, 2-1.
Depends if we have any of our key players back.
Don’t think Leeds will continue their slump and don’t expect Wolves to carry on winning every week. But one more week of a similar trend would be pleasant

Don’t worry, our key player Jimenez will definitely be back on Saturday
Just got my ticket on the ST return scheme. Come on Leeds!
We can't play that bad again but Wolves are getting better for sure. Keep Adama quiet and we can win this though.
Wolves U23s play at 12 today at home to Southampton. The game is being played at the Wolves training ground at Compton and will be live on Wolves tv
Fabio starts. Think he’s scored every time he’s played at this level so far
Fabio didn’t score today and neither did anyone else for us. Southampton looked a decent team to be fair and won 1-0 with a goal in the first 5 minutes

Adama will probably be on the bench
Must admit I was a bit surprised by Leeds last season, their approach seemed to baffle a lot of sides last season, mainly those who went toe to toe with them and thought they could out battle them. No surprise that we managed to nick 6 points off them really as we were always unlikely to take that approach under Nuno. And also why this one worries me a bit as Lage may try to open up and go for it as we did in those first three games.
Bruno has a few options fo setting up the team for Saturday. He could stick with the 352 we used at Villa or resort to the more familiar 343 and leave out Dendoncker or Moutinho. Certainly not Neves who along with Kilman was probably our best player at Villa, although Podence was very good in the short time he played. With Jimenez back in I would have thought he would use 343 with Traore and Podence alongside him. Hwang was a man of the match contender against Newcastle but along with Marcal was probably our worst player at Villa. To be fair to him he looked totally unsuited to the central striker role so could keep his place but wider.
Hard to blame Hwang when he clearly is a player that feeds of a partner and when that partner is Traore it is never going to work. Not a dig at Traore, but it just isn't remotely a strength of his.
Personally would go with Hwang and Raul with Podence as that would be our best front three.
Oh to have Neto back, our best forward not named Raul by a distance.
Not long hopefully now for Neto. From what I saw of the game Hwang looked lively but relatively ineffective. He's looked better in a front three and the sort of player that Raul likes playing with. Not sure what best to do with Podence, he never seems to have his best games when he starts, looks brilliant off the bench, gets a start and so the cycle continues. He needs to find some consistency for me. Hopefully Trincao will be fit and well for next weekend which will give us options but I'd go with a Hwang, Jimenez, Traore front three, Neves + 1 in the middle and probably the same back 3 and wbs though would be tempted to give Ait Nouri a game if he's 100%.
Podence is a bit of an enigma that at times looks brilliant and other times anonymous. The latter has happened too often in the last 12 months for me, but at Villa he was a real livewire.

I don't think Podence is ever anonymous. He always tries to be positive and make things happen. When it comes off he looks like a world beater. When it doesn't, everyone moans that he is rubbish.
He is the type of player who would benefit from playing with the likes of Hwang and Raul, as they would be more fluid up front and give more movement, options for him on the ball and pockets space to operate in. I think he struggles when lining up with Traore as he doesn't get any of those things. He also struggled under Nuno towards the end due to us being quite negative and the forwards becoming static and isolated.

To me Podence was one of our biggest disappointments of last season and was regularly anonymous in games. I think any excuse for that would rest far more with the absence of Jimenez than the presence of Traore
I don’t think playing in the front line is his best position though. Where I think we might see the best of him is in the central position behind the striker in a 4231. But I don’t envisage Bruno switching to a 4 man back line anytime soon.
We need to sign Mings from Villa and play 4-4-feckin2
