Two big issues

Don't think we're terrible at the first one. We're not the best by any means but we aren't the worse either. It was shocking at the weekend but that was mainly down to Maguire not being fit.

Pressing is dreadful pretty much all the time as we have forwards who a) don't want to press like Martial and b) Ronaldo who won't press. You press from the front and we don't do that.

The only forward who really tries to press is Cavani.
I think we play out too slowly.

Bruno also tries his best to do a one-man press but that's usually out of frustration it seems to me.

Since Fellani went we have no plan B the fact we have no plan A is irrelevant to losing this vital plan B

Our big issue is the defensive shape or lack of it without the ball. As a matter of fact, it’s shockingly bad. There’s no structure when we’re defending. Opposing teams find it so easy to cut right through us.

There’s hardly any pressing and if there is it’s half hearted. There’s no tactical discipline with where the players should be so they can at least coordinate a press. Bruno’s always running around like a headless chicken, Pogba isn’t interested in defending, neither is Greenwood or Ronaldo. You can’t play 6 attacking players that have no interest in closing the opposition down when you don’t have the ball.

You defend as a team and attack as a team, we’re neither. Players just look lost. That’s why even if we did sign a defensive midfielder, it wouldn’t have made much of a difference when the defensive setup is terrible.

Things would be worse if we didn’t play out from the back. We aren’t the best at it, but compared to winning aerial duels and winning second balls we are vastly superior. If we didn’t play out from the back we’d just keep giving the ball away and inviting pressure, as can be seen when we do actually go long in games.

We’ve made fack ups from playing out from the back, and they are obvious mistakes that people will cling to to make out that it’s a bad strategy, but they’re completely neglect how bad the alternative will be.

I think Ross showed a stat last season stating the net gain of playing out of the back was quite large. We just need to get better at it. Abandoning it altogether because it fails at times wouldn't be a good decision and wouldn't look good on the coaching ability of the staff.

It's a bonus if it draws team out a bit and we get run like Rashford's the other day.

as darren says, when it goes wrong it is immediately visible and blameworthy; but when it works people tend to remember the ending (a goal), rather than the beginning (a nice pass from maguire to shaw in acres of space).

i still don't personally think we are that good at it, and i don;t know what the stats say, but we appear to have got worse at it over the past 12 months.

What we should be doing more of is getting the ball to Rashford and Greenwood in one on one positions with those type of balls.

But we aren’t creating the space for them to be picked out with longer balls and switches of play.

It does look awful when we don't do it well but it doesn't even have to be intricate sideways passing around the box. It can be the incisive first pass to the CM or FB as well. I do think we should be aiming to mix it up a bit at times though. Even getting Ronaldo to target the weakest defender and aim it to him.

No matter what I say though we just, pretty much, need to improve across the board.

We don't know how to defend, pass, press, attack, move off the ball, set pieces. Basically Ole has bought some gormet steak, truffles and fresh veg, and decided to boil them in the microwave.

I've been very clear about him. I don't rate him at all as a footballer. 90% of the time I've seen him in a United shirt he's disappointed me.

BRENDAN RODGERS is now the joint favourite to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.

Pressure is growing on the Norwegian with the Old Trafford outfit who suffered their third straight defeat on Saturday.

Leicester City boss Rodgers oversaw a win for the Foxes against United yesterday and he has also been linked with Newcastle job.

Last week though he ruled himself out, saying: "I'm 100 per cent committed to Leicester City. I've got a contract until 2025. I absolutely love being here and I'm fortunate.

"I've got a great chief executive who runs the club, a director of football who I've got a really close relationship with and a group of players I really enjoy working with.

"We have an infrastructure that allows us to really compete.

"As long as they don't want to move me on, I'm very happy here."

Rodgers is joint favourite for the Man United gig alongside former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino at 4/1.

Antonio Conte (5/1), Zinedine Zidane (12/1), and Julian Nagelsmann (14/1) are also in the running.

Souness is right. Pogba is a flop. Needs to be babysat to succeed. Can't handle players pressing him and is a lazy git.

Some of our fans think he's the best CM in the world. 😂

Use your fecking eyes and stop defending.him. He was absolutely shambolic yet again at weekend. Got played off the park by Tielemans.

He's a fraud. He wants to play in a league where teams stand off him and admire him. Can't handle the PL tempo and pressing. Never has.

Pogba is a huge issue in this team. Doesn't want to know unless we have the ball and claims to be a CM. 😂
