De Gea has been getting back to his best so it's not as cut and dry as the last few years on the GK. Shaw when on form is also in with a shout.

I think that's probably a fair reflection in the present though.

That's probably a pretty fair team on paper only although in practice I'd prefer Thiago to Bruno in that position just based off what I'd want from that midfielder in terms of work ethic.

he did, and it's not even close. michael cox for instance, who apparently knows a thing or two about the game, had him as the best player at the tournament, "by miles", when france were knocked out.

though according to the experts on here, pogba is only good because kante, so really the chelsea player deserves all the credit.

Seeing a lot of people say Ronaldo is just static. Is that actually true now? I thought one of the great things about Ronaldo was his physical attributes or is he just a gym bod with no engine these days?

Well is he can be the best player at a major tournament "by miles" playing in a certain team and alongside a certain player (Kante), why can't he reproduce that type of level with United then with who he plays next to?

Obviously the performances of players are impacted with who they play alongside. If Pogba's performance are better playing alongside Kante, then you can understand the logic behind Kante influencing Pogba's performance. Alongside the rest of the players, the tactics, balance of the team etc.

Statistics say he is by far the worst presser of the ball in the league. His whole game is based around the box now.

He looks good physically but hasn't the legs to.run like footballers are required to today.
