Has Cv? The numbers from the gate are suspect in my opinion. Remember 28days…I do not trust the numbers whatsoever. I’m not anti vaccine nor am I a cv denier. Just totally disagree with this Cv vaccine saga. It stinks.

Is Cv a virus that is bloody awful? Yes Of course and folk are dying. However unlike the other notable illnesses, an old person and young person alike will be absolutely smashed by Polio et al. As opposed to cv which simply doesn’t.

Why do you not trust the numbers? Who's lying about them and what do you believe are their motives for doing so? You sound like an absolute denier to me. Or maybe a conspiracy theorist? Or both!

The thing is, this is not a Smallpox-Polio thing, this is now and how to stop it!..

Figures are going up, but the truth being told they're going to go much higher because this is the right time for Covid to run its cource!..

Cold is a friend off Covid and figures will now go up and than when warmer weather comes they'll go down again!..

Its been said that the figures would go up again, but nobody ever says what effect the weather has to do with those figures!..

The vaccine was "rushed" as it was in response to a public health emergency. That doesn't mean it skipped any testing or assessments. No question that long term data will be missing, I've already conceded that's a bit of an issue.

I know and have worked for a number of years with researchers who deal with similar trials and developments, it's my job to do it. Not those dealing with the CV19 vaccine admittedly, but other areas of medical development. These guys are soooo thorough, professional and in pretty much every case i've met, obsessed, with developing benefits to public health, that i don't have any doubts for a second, that they'd have been as professional when pushing this out for use.

For what it's worth i don't particularly have issue with those who refuse it - I just don't like the pseudo experts who demean and try to dismiss those who feel it's right for them. Nor do i think players, people or clubs should be named and shamed - to answer the original post.

As for what food you choose - true. But unless you grow your own, or source from a known source in terms of manufacturer, most won't have a clue what's been pumped into it. If you use a fast food chain at any time, you've probably consumed far more toxic ingredients than the vaccine.

But hey, each to there own.

“Vaccinated people dying of Covid have average age of 85 and five underlying illnesses”

I'm not a medic, but what percentage of the over 85s are expected to die of their existing conditions in the next year anyway?

If there is one statistic made extremely difficult for the public to find, it is the updated statistics for the deaths from within the healthy under-60s age groups which have been caused directly by the COVID-19 (SARSā€CoVā€2) virus. The associated percentage risk alongside other forms of death risk would be useful, to appraise the daily risk of one leaving one’s house to carry out normal activities.

These are fair questions from which a proper debate can then be had, not one based on assertions using the presentation of extremely limited statistics.

Only difference being that when this pandemic grew, one of us said 'how can we end this, how can i help end this'? The other said 'i'm not listening to logic, i dont care about others, i will take the opposite stand to any expert, if i don't see it, it isn't real'.

merrysuper, you're trusting a vaccine that has been tested within a year of its production, well good luck to you. Vaccines in the past have been tested over many many years before being used - this one I have too many doubts sorry, and also its contents would turn your stomach.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Vaccines rarely, if ever, have years of safety testing behind them at launch.

Those that spent a long time in phase 3 testing generally did so for reasons other than safety testing (which is principally done in phase 1).

The main reason for vaccine approval taking a long time is regulatory, and the main reason within that cause is aggregating adequate data.
F
In order to show vaccine efficacy contrasted to an unvaccinated group, you need sufficient numbers of test subjects to have been exposed to the pathogen so that the difference is clear and significant.

For many illnesses, if the prevalence is not high it takes time for sufficiently high numbers of exposed or infected people to be identified.

For SARS-CoV-2 prevalence is obviously very high, so reaching necessary trial target numbers happened very quickly.

It won't be of much comfort to people seeking long-term data on the current vaccines, but the idea that this ever exists, for any vaccine at launch doesn't match reality.

Its as simple as if there was no vaccine we'd be in a forever lockdown!..

The figures before the vaccine was thousands a day dying, it took a bit off time to get the vaccine to a stage where experts agreed it was better than nothing!..

It also took time before deaths dropped, but anyone that thinks vaccines don't work should look at time before and after vaccines!..

They must be working, and people that can't see that are those that'll be effected the most, if they get the virus and survive the long term after affects for most will make life hell!..

But the way things are now they're making others lives hell!..

Long term effects for most? You have sources with empirical case studies for this? Including myself I know 23 ppl who had Covid and never so much as wheezed since.

You have fallen foul to the rhetoric and fanfare of this PR flu.

You do you, but this aggression from jib jabbers is like a zombie flick.

'PR flu'

Flu is very dangerous and kills millions of people a year.

Covid is just as bad but more contagious (see reduction of flu stats when we locked down)

I don't want old people to die of Covid, just like I don't want people to die of flu.

The people who protest against vaccines are often the same ones that protest against masks and lockdowns. They just can't get it into their heads that simply ignoring a pandemic was never going to work. If you don't have widespread vaccination, you will likely end up in a cycle of rising cases, unsustainable hospital numbers, and then restrictions/lockdowns to bring the numbers back down again. Because they don't like this reality (who does?), they have to undermine and/or politicise it. It is an infantile response.

The "unsustainable hospital numbers" bit just gets overlooked. It really doesn't matter all that much if Covid has a 99.97 survival rate (or whatever the latest number is), or if you, your wife, your kids, all their mates, all their teachers and all their dogs caught it and were fine. Good for them - genuinely. But those people who are not fine are ending up in hospital, often staying there for weeks before dying or being released, perhaps with long Covid. And that's on top of every thing else hospitals have to deal with.

If you live in this country, YOU are dependent on our underfunded and overstretched health service. So even if you don't want to be jabbed, the life you enjoy so much will continue to be affected by restrictions until enough people do get themselves vaccinated for there to be a decent enough wall of protection. It will take time and it's not a pleasant situation. As far as I can see, the adults are facing up to it and getting on with things, while the brats are whining, spouting conspiracy nonsense and engaging in ridiculous point-scoring every time they get the merest glimpes of vaccine "failure".

And as for "boot-licking", I can't stand the lying charlatans who run this country. But you know what? Vaccines, like viruses, are not political.
