He's apparently changed his agent today to that of Frenkie De Jong's. Perhaps a change of agent to force a move. Can't say I'd blame him really.

Don't have a link but the manager did mentioned it at the start of the season and DVB did confirm as much during his appearance on Rio Ferdinand's youtube channel.

I want him to get a place in the team if he's worth it and improve us. It's irrelevant whether he thinks he's better than those two or not.

You could kind of understand this if he was fighting Scholes/Keane or even Scholes/Carrick but no, he's getting benched in favour of McFred.

Could you even imagine the abuse Mourinho would get if he dropped such a wonderful silky midfielder in favour of those two charlatans?

Plenty of sticks to beat Ole with... I don't think this is one.

He's done next to nothing when he's come on. Also, we have no idea how he plays in training, his desire, hunger etc.

There are two situations that could have unfolded...
1) He was Ole's choice, but the reality didn't meet expectation, and Ole prefers other player (Bruno and Pogba play are his direct rivals, based on where he played in Germany).
2) He wasn't Ole's choice. Ole doesn't fancy him as a starter, for whatever reason. He didn't want him to go out on loan as he needs back up.

He surely has to get given a chance now, considering what you have been doing isn't working at all.

Did you see him at Ajax? The guy is a special player if used right and he will show that once you get a proper coach in and/or he goes elsewhere.

And yes Jose did do that and he got held to account for it, that's the whole point!

When you compare VDB to Fred and McTominay, it shows you do not understand football at all.

Their roles and approaches to the game are completely different.

What next, play Maguire as a RB?

He was MoTM against West Ham and hasn’t played a single minute since. It’s hard for players like Beeks to show they’re good enough while being glued to the bench

On Beekers himself.

I have now seen him play in a midfield two on two occasions (with Matic as it happens). Now granted it was pre season against Everton and against West Ham reserves in the cup but he looks more comfortable there than McT or Fred.

And funnily enough it was some of the best footy we have played because we kept sustained possession much better in the attacking third of the pitch.

I really can not watch any of the other midfield two combinations we put out.

Not necessarily, some teams play with a double pivot with 2 defensive players. Some even play with two creative midfielders that can control possession.

Fred and McTominay approach the game completely differently to VDB.

He might be a better option than Bruno atm. Bruno has been shocking past few games. Does Ole even tell him cut out the reckless passing sometimes or running around all over the pitch with no tactical discipline.

He played at Ajax much further forward. They had Frenkie de Jong and Schone as the double pivot in a 4231 and he played behind Tadic. That is his best position where he can make runs between the centre back and fullback channel and he is very good at that.

In big games that's certainly debatable, even more so now given Bruno's form this season.

His goals against Juventus, Chelsea and Spurs alone trump anything Bruno has ever done in the crunch games.

He's just not very good at football.
