I have eyes mate
I've been critical of the defence tbh, if we were in the champs league we would be losing 7 or 8 against top teams, offering pacey wingers so much space is when we cant defend crosses is insane
Having the best defence in the league doesnt mean Celtics defence isnt worthy of comment - as daft as that might sound.
You would expect Celtic to have the best or at least the second best defence in the league. And Rangers clearly have had massive issues at the back (certainly compared to last season) so its no surprise we dont have the best defence.
Rangers are top of the league and there has been plenty of negative observations/'concern' about our form - and rightly so.
Thats the flip side of my point. CS has started by saying that for all the talk of a poor defence it's conceded fewest in the league.
Any time I have seen Celtic this season you look vulnerable at the back, yet the numbers say otherwise. It's just a general point of interest.
Its one thing pointing out we have conceded less but the goals we have lost are comical, and in europe we conceded 8 in our first 2 group games

I don't think anyone questioned Rangers attack?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really?
Even Gerrard publicly called out our very own 'star striker' for not contributing enough.
The second goal for Dundee was clearly an error but the cross for the first one is a nightmare to defend - no blaming anyone for that - just a great goal.

Well I am on about this article and my comment about how I think this title race will be won on attacking play rather than defensive.
I have no interest in what the next Aston Villa manager says about Rangers strikers
Ccv was marking nobody for that cross and welsh was left with 2 men
Daniel Fonseca is a great bet for Villa job
Anyway, in terms of our attack, Alfies current malaise is one thing. The better news is that Kent is back and he has looked more like the Kent of old in the two sightings we have had of him this week.
He has looked very sharp and is clearly moving differently than he did at the start of the season - so there are encouraging signs that he has put those injuries he was carrying to bed.
What a strike from him yesterday as well.
I mean it was clearly a cross yesterday but sure lets call it a shot

Cool. I agree. Both defences are looking a bit ropey and celtics game plan is clearly not to be overly concerned about conceding the odd goal or two.
I was just pointing out that there has been a fair bit of criticism of Rangers attacking form this season. And some of it has been very well publicised.

Gerrard and Kent in Jan to Villa, you heard it here first
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If SSG seriously is on Villas wish list then I think he really has a decision to make.
The reality is Gerrard is unlikely to walk straight into the Liverpool job from Rangers so he is going to need a stepping stone.
Villa are a big club with a decent squad who are currently underperforming. They wont be expected to win the league - top half would be seen as a success.
I dont think they would be a bad option for him at all.
Do people honestly think Gerrard is good enough for the PL?

Nope but his status there means someone will give him a go, as they did with lampard.

100%, think he has a bright future as a coach. Whether he is good enough for Liverpool or not is another thing but ticks a lot of boxes for clubs and has done a great job at Rangers.

In fairness you're looking at it through the eyes of a Celtic fan, and only Celtic fans will see it that way. Majority of people elsewhere in football will see it very differently.
