Kind of my opinion too. He’s overachieved in his last few jobs imo.

He’s miles better than Ole and has recent experience of beating top managers to trophies. I can’t see Ten Hag wanting to join something as badly organised as us ruining his rep so let’s get Rodgers who deserves a chance.

Would be nice to see some actual coaching happen.

If we are gonna get him ideally sooner rather than later as the season can still be salvaged. Another couple of losses just makes the whole job harder for the next guy

Scousers would love it if we took on one of their rejects.

We have become Everton.

I don’t think we can say he over achieved at Celtic.

Agreed - he plays good football and I do rate him as a coach. Not my first choice but I'd be interested to see what he could do with us. And who knows, maybe he'll bring Tielemens / Ndidi with him!

He went unbeaten in his first season and won the treble. Even by SPL standards that's pretty impressive.

7 trophies in 2 and a half seasons and an unbeaten league season. Compare that to other recent Celtic managers and you could argue he overachieved.

Nah, hope not.

Dusty Bin would be a better assistant coach than Kieran McKenna.

I don't think too many of our fans really wanted Rodgers sacked when it occurred to be fair, although we were having a bad moment at the time. He had enough credit in the bank to have time to turn it around.

It just happened Klopp was available at the time and the owners couldn't resist.

errrrr, no, not really.

Where has he over achieved?

posted on 10/11/21

Not really in favour at all. Maybe he could get the lads to show character though?

There has been no competition in Scotland for the last decade. Up until last year Celtic have not had anyone to beat. Even Neil Lennon has won titles with them.

I have a suspicion he'd significantly improve us but not enough to close the gap. On the other hand, he's too good to be a caretaker manager. In a way, I'd rather we appointed someone worse than him until the end of the season if we can't get the man now who will really take us forward.

I also wonder whether he is an elite manager who will adapt to stay at the top of the game, or one who has a shelf life, like many others. I have a sneaking feeling that Potter might be the man with the fresher ideas for the next five years.

and without Rangers you could argue he underachieved.

Do you think Potter could handle the huge step up to not only a huge club like United but also the United of now where there presumably is an emphasis on winning trophies fairly immediately after such a long drought?

I'm not against it

I just can't deal with any of Ole's silly formations, starting line ups, subs or lack of squad management.

Anyone who isn't an amateur is welcome at this point.

I don’t think that’s actually a thing? 🤔 You can’t really underachieve if you win all you can win

There is just something about Rogers that says no to me.

Guarantee if Rodgers came then that would be with an agreement to not go after their players.
