Won’t the American football help them out and music concerts ๐Ÿ‘

Although net debt is circa £700million, gross debt is actually around £1.2billion. Making Spurs the most indebted club in Europe by a huge margin.

It might help if they could fill the stadium, but the council won't let them open the upper tier due to "restrictions"?

I don't think many will miss Spurs. They have never really been relevant. The only relevance is the media bumming Kane cos he's English. When he leaves to join the European Champions Man Utd next season then no one will even notice that Spurs go out of business.

Ah bless, its CFC again with his stadium envy Spurs obsession.

Its nice to know that although we occupy the worlds best football stadium, at great cost, we can fall back on living rent free in this CFC mug's head.

I'd hazard a guess that the op is mostly occupied with watching Chelsea doing so well. Spurs will be ground sharing with Haringey Borough when the banks cone calling.

Is that right?

Maybe they should close Upper Tier for Spurs games and keep their quota of full stadium capacity events for boxing, American football, Pop concerts

There’s a few clubs you can bank on not going bust in the prem, Spurs are one of those.

Price for Kane just went up by £500m for some reason. Just pay up Man City!!!!

Might as well go bust, such an inconsequential football club. Bring nothing to the table other than comedy

According to the chart in that link you do, to the tune of £138m

Its a horrendous debt but in the end its about club security and no fans wants their club to go down like leeds did but this is a level that is eye opening and raises questions.

if people want a row over it they can do that but if anyone wants to suggest what the real issue is and how much trouble it is or isn't that would be interesting.

Couldn’t Chelsea ground share half the cost

Attendances for league games this season so far

Man City 58,262

Watford 57,672

Chelsea 60,059

Villa 53,076

Man Utd 60,356

Leeds 58,989

I’ve been at all of them and at no time were the top tier closed or empty as you can see from them attendances

Every club will have lost revenue due to Covid and we’ve lost more than some others.

We had to build a bigger ground to generate more revenue to compete with the clubs with sugar daddies or ones owned by Countries.

It’s an amazing stadium that generates huge revenue streams from Football and other sporting events.

You will see some on here saying it looks like a toilet bowl but these will mostly be the so called die hard that never set foot in their own teams ground let alone go to an away came so they can compare grounds.

I’d like to know quads thoughts on Chelsea raising some season tickets from £1,200 to £3,000 next season

Roman feeling the pinch or trying to match Spurs match day revenue?

There isn't a real issue. I haven't gone over the latest set of financial statements but last year we had only £25m a year in long term debt payable. And something like £200m cash in the bank. Like with any loan, debt is only a problem if you can't afford to finance it. We clearly can, and increased revenues from the new stadium should more than cover the difference.

The idea that we won't be able to go into the market because of the stadium debt is silly.

The stadium hasn’t even maximised its earning potential yet has it? What with all the events other than football that were delayed, and not even getting the naming rights yet.

Say what you like about Spurs’ decisions to win things on the pitch, but how they’ve transformed their earning potential from where they were used to be is remarkable.
