Bears. Beets. Bad transfer tax.
Am I only the one who just found out transfers weren’t taxed?
--
Never thought about it to be honest. I read somewhere that clubs pay VAT for domestic transfers but not international or something like that.
Funny, I suggested essentially this idea over a decade ago.
It's not perfect but might help
The thing I find worse than the issues facing EFL clubs (which for me are often about a lack of spending regulation) are the issues facing the Sunday/Saturday league in England. It's expensive, overly violent and usually on terrible pitches.
Yes no one wants to see football clubs go out of business but equally the majority of people who play football in England are paying to play and usually for substandard and poorly managed game.
With the insane wealth of the Premier league the grassroots football facilities in England really stink

I've started watching the US version of the office. I think I prefer it.

I thought it was great. I didn't like the UK version as I dislike Gervais and his unfunny punchable face.
If you’re gonna watch the US version you have to watch the superfans episodes on peacock
They have the first 3 seasons and each episode includes all the deleted scenes. They’re like 42 min episodes.
Gives a lot of scenes completely different context
The US version of the office is superior, mostly because the other characters are more fleshed out and it’s not all about Brent.
Dwight is by far the funniest character on either version

This. Although it falls apart in the final two series.

Yeah as soon as Steve Carrell left it turned to shieete
OP. In the UK what you see is what you pay, all tax included.
In the US what you see is before tax, which is added on at the till
