If he plays that XI in that formation against one of the big 3, then San Marino won't be the only 10-0 I see this season.

Good bet for the goals galore coupon every week.

You really think we’d win 10-0? Thanks !

Posted the exact line-up (but with AWB for Dalot) earlier in the week.

Would really like us to move back to a 442.

He's not a big fan of Shaw by all accounts. Went on record in 2020 that United needed a new left back so be interesting to see what happens there.

I think it would be more flexible than having four players left standing up front when we're out of possession (which is what we often ended up with anyway with the 4231). It might not be that different, but then again I can't remember seeing it played.

'By all accounts' = according to one quote when he was doing punditry before Shaw's excellent form of the last season.

Well yeah but he said it and it wasn't forced on him to do so.

Will he have changed his mind? We will have to see.

What formation would best suit his successor poch?

Shaw does need a kick up the arrse. That and him and Maguire shown a picture of each other so they can recognise the player they're about to run into and change course.

That's on Shaw then, as Maguire changes course like that ship that got stuck in the Suez canal

He'll probably have a better idea after the circus comes to town on Sunday. Bailly's not much better, he's just got pace

Didn’t know he’d rejected the chance to be Chelsea’s caretaker manager after Lampard.

How you feeling Robb?

Disappointed about not being able to get Poch mid season? Worried we might not go for him in the summer now? Or just excited to have something completely new in place and see where it leads?

Lindelof isn't any better than Maguire. He's slow, easily bullied off the ball, beaten in the air all the time. He's been as joke of a signing for me.

I’m fairly confident that we’ll get Poch at the end of the season with the guy who influenced some of his ideas as his DoF (or whatever the term is). I think we tried to get Poch but it was impossible mid season and this is the best compromise.

As far as how Rangnick does - I genuinely don’t know. Interims are a risk as the players might not buy into the methods. All I’d expect is top 4 and that would be a successful appointment for me results wise. Some exciting football would be a great bonus. We have some (on paper) easy games coming up so hopefully a good run with lots of goals.

That looksmore like 4-2-1-3 to me. With Sancho and Rashford as wingers

Don't think it's the formation thats the key. It's the players understanding their roles in said formation. 4231 can work if it's coached correctly.
