I went to see the Human League in Birmingham on Saturday and it was a fantastic evening. Rolling back the years with the classics. Tom Bailey (Thompson Twins) excellent in support.

Watch your dates though bud, Human League are in Manchester on Friday not Saturday 👍

Yeah well, spotted, just checked the tickets, HL Friday, Madness Saturday, both in the same venue so wouldnt have got it disastrously wrong. Altered Images also supporting alongside Tom Bailey and Squeeze supporting Madness. Should be a decent couple of nights out.

Just watched the Real Madrid match. All spectators were wearing masks. Not so in UK.

The dutch with no fans in attendance at all. Be interesting to see where the next few weeks take us. Hopefully this new variant is actually the one that helps end this nightmare.

No surprise. In Spain we have been taking the virus more seriously than pretty much anyone since day one. Spanish people tend to do as they're told, we don't have as many f... you, I'll do what I want types as the UK has.

The vast majority in the uk will do as they are told on these kind of issues. Unfortunately one of the exceptions to sticking to the rules is the conservative government themselves

With Jose Sa continuing to impress in the Wolves goal, his predecessor Rui Patricio is getting a lot of stick in Italy. At the weekend against Inter he went to cover the near post from an Inter corner but it went straight in to the net through his legs with no other player getting a touch

To be fair the only issue the UK has is an inept government making hard work of simple rules. The British public are pretty good at just getting it done and are well on the way to 80% vaxxed, maybe more. Now the USA? Worthless.

posted on 8/12/21

Yeah the public have been OK here in general. We just have bumbling government who send mixed messages and can't even abide by their own rules.

Didn't realise there was yet another blow up with Johnson ffs

Yeah, been throwing parties in Downing Street during lockdowns. His spokesperson announced that they are only going to investigate the one he didn't attend. The ones he might have attended will not be investigated.

I always assume politicians are corrupt slimy cants but this crew have taken it to a whole new level.

Not sure what the Government has to do with fans at matches not having the sense to cover up with a mask.

Making it a law for one.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

You're not required to wear a mask outdoors in the UK or in football stadiums. In Spain it is a requirement in football stadiums. That's why they wear them in Spain, but not the UK.

So it has everything to do with the government.

I am exempt from wearing a mask. I have a rare brain condition that causes me to think and make decisions for myself like an adult.

Just because is isn't mandatory, doesn't mean you should drop your guard at sporting events. It'll be interesting to see if it spikes again in the UK.

Hot off the press:-

Fans will need to show proof of double vaccination or a negative test to attend sporting events with crowds of more than 10,000 people in England under new Covid-19 rules.

The government has made the NHS Covid pass mandatory at such events because of the spread of the Omicron variant.

The rules will come into effect from Wednesday, 15 December.

Access to any event in excess of 10,000 people in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland already requires a Covid pass.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the rules as part of the Covid 'plan B' measures in England during a news conference at Downing Street on Wednesday.

The Covid pass will also be needed for any unseated indoor venue with more than 500 people attending and any unseated outdoor venue with more than 4,000 people attending.

This exactly highlights how the UK government are so inept.
How many people will be infected before the 15th? What is this fecking clown Johnson on?
Jesus H Christ I'm so glad I don't live in the UK any more. I just fear for my children!

And yet the Spanish government allow hundreds of passengers a day to fly in from UK airports?

The UK is a bit of a shambles thanks to Johnson and his crew but most governments have made some pretty special balls ups on this whole situation.

The most startling thingS I came away from the UK with this time were the mental obsession with celebrity crap on TV, I thought that era had long since passed but it is actually worse than ever and the second was every third cant opening a coffee/tea house. Mental numbers of those down south in every town.
