Whilst I agree with many of these points, you are rejecting NOTHING by not voting. If everyone who didn’t vote voted for another party the Tories would lose.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really, because those votes would be spread among multiple parties. If they all voted Labour, then maybe.

Tories now fined for not properly reporting donation.

The corruption just doesn't end.

Boycott the political system.

Don't vote.

Reject this crap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
utter nonsense roughly a 1/3 of the electorate did not bother to vote in 2019 that's over 15 million people for comparison the Tory part won with 43% of votes cast and got 13,966,454 votes. Given the vast majority of non voters are aged 40 and younger people tend to lean more left/centrist then you can assume that most of those votes would go Labour/SNP/Liberal/Green

And those 15m votes would be diluted among those parties.

Also, don't forget half the electorate voted for Brexit, so not all are as left as you think.

Nonsense.

37.4% of the electorate voted for Brexit. Nearly 13m people didn't vote. So this calamitous path was chosen by just over a third of eligible voters.

The solution to this Tory mess is to vote them out not refuse to vote.

The whole political system is a corrupt mess.

But you can keep doing what you've always done and see if that fixes the problem.

But who's to say that if those no voters were to vote, they wouldn't just vote similar to the regular voters?

After all, they'll be tuning in to the same media and be influenced by the same nonsense.

posted on 9/12/21

But you are telling people who want to solve the problem by voting them out to not vote. The people that vote for them don’t see it as a problem. So do you not see how facking stupid your solution is?

If you vote and they still win, all you've done is give them legitimacy and a nice big mandate to do whatever they want.

However, if turnout is low, their mandate is weak and they then need to appease the public to win back voters.

As long as the government have a strong mandate, they couldn't care less about the public. So you must first weaken the government.

weaken the government by not doing the only thing you can realistically do remove them?

that's a little like letting someone keep punching you in the face and not defending yourself because eventually they'll get tired or letting someone continually steal money from you because eventually you'll have no money left for them to steal.

You realise your solution to weaken their mandate is to give them a majority?

The Finnish pm (who feminists went gaga for cos she went and appointed a 100% female.cabinet) went clubbing after being exposed to covid (close contact)

The politicians are really saying do what we say not what we do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This has been happening all over the globe for the past two years so the question has to be why are those in power clearly not worried about Covid?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, that is the obvious question. To one who sees everything in black and white.

The system is corrupt. Unless Labour sell themselves out to the super rich, the Tories will win again.

Will continuing to take part in this system stop the cheating?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
But with a weak mandate, they'll have to stop being so arrogant and corrupt. This system only exists because people support it—take away that support and you might get reforms to win back support.

There's a reason a Tory would rather you vote Labour than not at all. The true power lies in the mandate, but of course they won't tell you that.

posted on 9/12/21

They’ll have a strong mandate because they’ll have a majority in parliament. They act the way they do because people vote them in. Giving them more seats, and a stronger mandate, isn’t going to change that.

Nonsense. There’s a reason the tories want to introduce voter ID and it’s not to stop fraud.

Why are you scared of this germ when those who are making 'the rules' regarding the germ clearly aren't?
