I think the point is it doesn’t matter how wronged klopp and Liverpool were (they were, kane should have gone s as me the game would have been very different) you still need to act professionally to the ref (in public anyway)

Now when a manager gets wronged (they will ) they can have a go at the ref after the whistle and there will be no punishments as well Klopp didn’t get any

He shouldn’t have said what he said publicly for the cameras to see

For that he should have got a punishment of sorts
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because no managers have ever approached the ref "in public" before Sunday?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no klopp invented it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I assumed that is what he meant when he started throwing "precedent" around.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i mean god forbid our players start surround the ref in numbers for every decision like some other prem teams, we'll have invented that next.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you going on about?

Managers approach the ref all the time ….I never implied they don’t ….he shouldn’t have approached the ref in the way he did is what I said (and then go unpunished )

He bought the refs integrity into question with his ‘problem’ remark ….should have done it down the tunnel

Norbert banging on about a penalty not given when Winks was taken out in similar fashion and got nothing neither, Dele was also shoved in the back and got nothing, if that is Salahdive feeling a hand in the back he is diving to the floor and gifted a penalty all day long.

It's an incredible precedent to set really - managers can now confront officials on the pitch after the game and accuse them of having an agenda and of not being qualified enough without fear of punishment
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, what an incredible precedent. Amazing, stunning, astonishing.

Out of curiosity, which qualifications did he say he was lacking? And what did he say his agenda was?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He said that Tierney has a problem with him repeatedly and said that he wasn't objective - think it's pretty obvious that he's saying that Tierney has an agenda against him.

He also brought up multiple times that Tierney has never played football. Not as brazen as klopps comments about Tierney having an agenda against him but I'd say it's fair to infer from this that klopp is saying that Tierney's lack of playing experience means that he isn't equipped to make informed decisions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
again something plenty of footballers and pundits have been saying for years, refs like clattenburg admitting recently.

yet cause its Klopp
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not making a point about whether or not klopps comments were justified. I'm simply stating that I find the decision to let his comments go unpunished to be a fascinating one and im curious to see if the next manager to come out and accuse a referee of not being objective will also go unpunished

I feel the fa have let down the ref a bit here but he did have a shocker

Completely agree

The fa have caused themselves an issue here by not punishing a manager for calling a refs integrity into question in public , which is what Klopp did

Should have gone mental down the tunnel at him cos the ref deserved it !

The 'problem' remark specifically referred to the booking, rather than the ref's integrity.

I suppose he could be punished for that, but the FA probably don't want to be drama-queens about it. There's enough of that on social media.

Klopp has had a lot of bad calls from this particular ref
Over the years and just couldn't take it anymore.
Not bullying in the slightest.
Would like to see var and the refs be on the same page and be held accountable.
Too many games being ruined by ineptness.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You might just be the least closeted Liverpool fan in existence
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Give it a rest. Leeds have suffered bad calls this year as much or more than most. If you choose to close your eyes and not see the sad state of var and reffing in the league because spurs benefited one game then you are the mug most think you are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah fine, just be aware that there is a perception out there that you act like you were conceived on the half way line at Anfield

Absolutely Klopp is a bully, he is also a hypocrite, bad loser, and generally a disgusting human being.

He sets an appalling example, and stamps his feet like a spoilt child when the referees make his team play to the same set of rules as everybody else.

That said, after all the mass outpourings of collective media grief after Varpool dropped 2 points, I expect the refs to make amends in one of Pools next games. A dodgy pen or sending off is absolutely going to benefit the Saltypudlians in one of their next few games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well said Billy

So it’s now drama queen behaviour to point out what Klopp said isn’t on? Rrrrrrigggghhhhtt I got ya

He had every right to say what he said , just not for us all to hear

And asking the ref he has a problem with him whether that be cos he didn’t send Kane off of whatever is questioning his integrity ….as he is saying the reason he didn’t make the decision for Liverpool was due to his personal perceived problem with himself

For whatever reason Klopp felt he needed everyone to know how upset he was - in my opinion it’s a mixture of arrogance and the fact he is a bullying khunt, but some disagree.

I’m sure though that he will get what he wants and we won’t see Tierney anywhere near Anfield for a long time

I think you are right about the ref

He is an intimidating figure but any side would want him as manager

His snarling and nashing on the side line is like a clucking crack head but I like his passion as it feeds the players

So it’s now drama queen behaviour to point out what Klopp said isn’t on?
========================================
No, it's not drama-queen behaviour to point out it isn't on. Managers give in to their adrenaline-fuelled frustrations all the time. Nobody thinks it's a particularly good thing, but there's some latitude given b/c they have to face the Press immediately after the game, while their adrenaline is up (and also b/c the Press quite likes it).

But it's drama-queen to pretend that it's unprecedented, or astonishing, and to imply that only the FA's lickle favowites would get away with it, and to pretend that the 'problem' comment referred to the ref's integrity, rather than the yellow card, etc., etc.

You know, all the whiny little things that have happened on this thread.

(Although I have to admit, I quite like the drama-queen favouritism stuff. It's quite entertaining to see what kind of petty little beefs grown adults have swimming around in their heads).

But if the ref felt bullied by it, let's get the little fella some counselling, and put it right. No problem with that.
