Didn't think we could get anyone who could break into our front-three, and was settling for a bit of cover that was ok but not quite up to the same standard. (Firmino was awesome, at the time).
Within a season, he's displaced Firmino (who btw has still got it, on recent evidence).
Great buy, and Klopp just instils so much belief.
Said at the time that you'd had an absolute steal at £45million. He can only get better as well.
Fair play to him, he trusted himself to break into a very established front line.

He has a natural talent for being exactly where he needs to be. You can't teach that. Either you have it or you don't.

I have to admit I thought he would be a good option but never expected him.to now be one of the main front 3. If we can get one more like him we will have an immense line up to rotate up top
I didn't expect him to be as good as he has turned out to be, he's probably about as good as you'd hope for in the role that he plays within the squad. Important player, definitely keep hold.
He obviously had a lot of raw, natural talent coming through Atletico Madrid's youth system.
Honestly didn’t know much about him before we signed him. Thought he’d be a decent squad player and alternative to Origi when rotating. He’s been class. Klopp, the owners and scouting have been very good in the market, credit to them

Or Adama Traore (someone tell me if I’ve spelt that right) who in 19 games and over 1000 minutes of football has scored no goals and provided no assists.
Just to point out, the opinion you posted in the op is the wolves resident wum that nobody takes seriously. He spent two years pretending he was a friendly Albion fan.
BUT yeah, Diogo has surprised me, he was very inconsistent and was on our bench the season you bought him, good to see though, good luck to him.
Great signing for us and a bargain at that price. He was good for Wolves in his last season but has hit a considerably higher level since joining us. His goals/minutes record is incredible.
He was even starting to show signs of leadership last night, taking the game by the scruff of the neck after coming on athalf time and raising the levels of those around him. That's a sign of a truly great player.
