Suppose I have to give this 5

I'm actually 1/9th Senegalese, 1/9th Algerian, 1/9th Egyptian, 1/9th Ivorian, 1/9th Cameroonian, 1/9th Moroccan, 1/9th Nigerian,1/9th Ghanaian,1/9th Tunisian and I have heard of Mali so I don't mind who wins.

Does location play a big part in who wins often? Seems like it's usually a North or West African country who wins it, will being in Cameroon favour the West African sides?

I had read the civil war could stop the ACON from happening, was that all just bollox?

Good expereince for Mejbri, didn't he play in the Arab Cup the other week too, never even heard of that before?

West African nations have won most of the recent West African tournaments, while North African teams have won in North Africa (Algeria winning in Egypt in 2019, Cameroon in Gabon in 2017 and Ivory Coast in Eq.Guinea in 2015 - although Egypt did win in Ghana in 2008).

What an experience for the lad. He turns 19 in a couple of week. I don't expect that he will be starting games, but will be interesting to see if he can force his way into the reckoning as the tournament progresses. I'd love to see him get a few games under his belt and then return to the United squad on a high and put some pressure on the first team players. It'll be interesting to see how he is used in the first team squad next season. It is going to be a big 5 months for the lad. There is a lot of uncertainty over our midfield at the moment and what we will need to do to strengthen in the summer. He will be hoping to get the chance to show what he can do.

There's always one. I've given it five to make up for it.

Me too. Good job OP.

Thanks OP.

Always enjoy the ACON and wish it attracted more attention. I always find myself getting behind one of the west African teams, which I latch on to arbitrarily at the group stages.
