If we didn't have Bielsa, I'd be sh*tting it. But we do.
Worried? No. Nervous that we're in and around the
relegation places with injuries and suspensions? Yes.
Club is strongest its been since probably late 90s.
Early 2000s success was built on sand and we have been in the abyss for nearly 2 decades.
More to be positive about than negative.
I think we'll beat Newcastle and stay up this season, but we can't keep pushing our luck like this every season. Definitely need a change of regime somewhat. Hoping we get a couple of players in next week.
The January window could be a saviour but not if it's a last minute rush when all decent options have gone elsewhere. The club should have been ready to pounce as soon as the window opened.

Bielsa once again saying that players will only be brought in if they are an improvement on what we have already, I remain certain that this is a prelude to us signing nobody.
Love me some MB. And I do trust him. But...
We can't guarantee that our first 18, let alone our
first 11 are going to be available on match days
right now. And we're seeing a bunch of U23s on the bench regularly, due to injuries and suspensions,
So, the quote:
"...players will only be brought in if they are an improvement on what we have already..."
Surely means "we're signing several players this
window." Because anyone who is Championship level, let alone Prem level, is an improvement on what we already have if you add the all-important word to that sentence 'available'. And could walk into our team
no problem.

Find this a bit of a conundrum, MB has a reputation of being able to improve most players, without a doubt the squad he inherited improved almost overnight in his first season, so therefore the players surely don't have to be better than what we currently have but, under Bielsa's coaching, should have the potential to be better than what we currently have.
It sounds like Bielsa wants to improve the squad but no longer trusts that he is able to coach an improvement.

Dong, did you watch the U23's game in midweek. I had never seen most of the team play that took to the field in the second half. It was a very young team.
Jackson's sides seem to suffer from team orders, replace the three who will be on the bench on Sunday with three others, regardless of who is playing well and who isn't and it doesn't take into account the fitness levels of players like Summerville, Drameh and Greenwood. Summerville, for example, looks like he could run all day yet he rarely gets more than 45 minutes. I could understand it if they were getting regular minutes with the first team but it almost looks like Bielsa has already decided on the changes he will make. I am not sure how he expects those three to develop.
One other problem on Wednesday was, towards the end, the pace of the game against much older and more experienced footballers told, players were pulling up with cramp (notably Debayo). There was nobody to bring on. Real football isn't like that.
Finally, Jackson brought on McKinstry, Jenkins and Moore for Summerville, Greenwood and Drameh, forcing players to play out of position and in formations they clearly weren't au-fait with.
It must be really frustrating to play for the U23's at the moment.
So, improvement, what does that mean?..
I thought it meant something on the lines off better, but looking at some around here you'd think otherwise!..
Why do people always bring the people down that have got us where we now are?..
The club is building, something that cant be done in a week, it costs a fortune and takes a hell of a lot of risks!..
Anybody happy with players coming in that ain't improving what we already have deserve a club in a lower division!..
"Anyone else worried about where our beloved club is headed"
Donn is one I don't think is worried, infact I think he'd be happy with a few average players coming in and holding us back even further!..
As for Bielsa, argue all you want, but the main question has to be, where would we be without him?..
1st league, 2nd?....he was brought in to do what he's done, and I'm not one bit worried because we're not going down!..
We are allowed 2 loans, that’s probably the route I’d choose.
Worried? Not exactly…concerned yes.
Keep up one point per game and we’ll be fine!
Fortunately for us this season to me looks like being one where the bottom 3 will struggle to get much more than 30 points so I would think 33 to 35 points will keep us up.
We just need to ride the storm of injuries we have and because of this I am confident we will add a couple more new players this window and comfortable stay up.
