I actually have covid at the moment, no idea how I got it really, but other than being tired, its not done much to me. Considering I had 3 jabs, it probably reduced it to a cold. Also when getting the jabs I had no side effects each time. At the start of the pandemic I feared to catch it and die, since I have the jabs, I no longer live in fear. I see no difference with other vaccinations I had throughout my life. No sure why people are so ferociously against this one.
If no one had been jabbed, we’d all still be in lockdown.
Anti-Vaxers are just selfish s
If we can à nice debate with no insults.

I don’t think you’ll get that on this topic, 52.
You managed it with your other articles, surprisingly managed it with religion, but I think this is a step too far.
Because anti-vaxxers are facking morons.
I think anti-vaxxers are in 4 different groups.
Those who are anti-establishment who think the government are trying to control them.
Those who think the illuminati is trying to control them. These are conspiracy freaks who believe in things like Flat Earth.
Those who just don't think there is a real issue and that Covid is just a cold. A bit like your relatives, who have been unaffected.
And then the paranoid, how get taken in by the first two groups and the large amount of misinformation on social media. They are less worried about being controlled, more by the idea they will have serious health issues from taking the vaccine.
I'm pro-vax. But I think with the current vaccines, we are probably approaching the end of their shelf lives. They update the flu vaccine every year and I think they really need to get an updated Covid vaccine out too. As the current ones are becoming less and less effective and for a shorter time than the previous one.
The next variant will almost certainly render the current vaccines even less effective and it just seems a risky game to not at least have a more up to date vaccine in place to fight against it and offer decent protection.
Yearly updates would also probably reduce the number of boosters people require over a period of time too as the vaccine would be tailored to more recent variants and mutations and better able to fight them.
Can only think that it's financial reasons for the lack of an update but regardless, with every new dominant strain and with the vaccines becoming less effective, there will come a point where getting the vaccine is such a no brainer.
No way will you have a nice debate with no insults 52
Anti vax is the new Brexit
Those who just don't think there is a real issue and that Covid is just a cold. A bit like your relatives, who have been unaffected.
I’m not going to lie, this was exactly my thinking except I didn’t think it was just a ‘cold’. I only took the vaccines because I want to go on holiday freely. If our freedom wasn’t being threatened I wouldn’t have taken it.
Tested positive about a week ago. Had a bit of a cough, but nothing that normally would stop you carrying on as normal. Had 2 jabs, but not bothering with the booster.
I admin my home town's Facebook page and the amount of rubbish I have to delete from anti-vaxxers is astounding. I then get direct messages saying I'm shutting down debate and that I'm an enemy of the people etc. All the page is is somewhere to share old photos etc! I think that indicates what we're dealing with.
If you don't want to take the jab fair enough. I never used to take the flu jab even though I qualified for it due to asthma. That's because I'm never really ill but Covid has been an eye opener and I'll take it from here on in.
The route of all this anti Vax stuff is the autism nonsense with the MMR. Misinformation (or disinformation even in this case) is surprisingly resistant to information, education and time.
Antivaxxers are the type of people who wear crocs. And not only that, they wear socks with crocs. They’re the type of people who stand behind you at a traffic light and just after you press the button to cross the road, they move ahead of you and press the button again as if it’ll make the light go red quicker. They’re the type of people who walk miles ahead of you and hold the door open for you even though you’re a good 60 seconds away from getting to that door so you have to run when a perfectly good walk would normally do and then when you get there they expect a thank you and act all passive aggressive when you get annoyed at them for starting these little fights.
God, I hate antivaxxers.

They’re working on polyvalant and multivalant vaccinations at the moment, which apparently protects against future variants, and should be available next year.

A large proportion are easily influenced people who aren’t clever (believing social media is a sign of an idiot).
I’ve had two boosters, the second made me pretty ill so I haven’t had the third. I has d Covid in Dec 2020.
I had planned to after Christmas but due to the fact it’s only effective for 8 weeks and they aren’t even offering a 4th to under 50s I don’t see the need.
I think people should have got the vaccine up to the point of the harmful Delta variant, but I think the onus is on those vulnerable to have the vaccine now.
I know so many who have had Covid since Omicron and none have had more than a cold.
Laurence Fox, antivaxx and antimask gammon in chief was pictured this week wearing a mask and presumably vaccinated on a family holiday overseas.
