Ross is only playing the 'supporting Boris is a death wish up here' game. Has been since he got the job. Literally. To do anything else would get him filleted in Holyrood. He is choosing the least worst road to go down knowing that Boris gives not one flying fvck what he thinks.

I don't think we should judge Ross too harshly on his decisions when VAR is not available up here

And another thing, the PM is now on the record saying he wasn't told the drinks with collegue's broke rules.

I mean, come on, he's concerned there might be a case for his actions being illegal, making his post untenable.

I'm all for benefit of doubt, but his office wrote the rules, if he doesn't understand what's unreasonable about it then no wonder his party is moving gears to get rid.
Gove is now saying he'll provide evidence BJ is lying, and can identify witnesses to corroborate. Not sure really.
