lost his man v Morecambe. not up to scratch. like the kid and he will go on to have a good professional career, but not at spurs it looks like. needs a loan to learn his trade somewhere where errors arent so costly.

Sanchez cannot play in the centre. he barely even speaks english. he is poor on the ball. he needs to be on the right of the 3 where his athleticism is more useful. he has been good since Conte came in, but we badly need Dier back.

Tbf Sanchez kept lukaku quiet in both matches even though we were completely dominated by chelsea. Think that’s getting overlooked quite a lot

Yeah that's three games vs Chelsea, aggregate 7-0 to them and no Lukaku goals in 270 minutes.

thought Sanchez was terrible first half

Lukaku kept himself quiet, finishing was abysmal

For £90 million though Lukaku is pretty poor.

Spurs fans have been so critical of their side in recent weeks but in reality I think it's harsh (as much as I enjoy mocking Spurs fans).

You were never going to be competing with City or Liverpool and Chelsea this year, the top three is pretty much guaranteed to be us three.

But 4th is very very doable for you lot as I expect Arsenal to crumble towards the end of the season as they just don't have the calibre of manager you do which gives you the advantange.

As it stands despite a mid-season managerial change you're 4 points off West Ham in 4th with 3 games in hand (hell you're not miles off Liverpool and Chelsea actually).

What were your expectations going into this season, realistically? You were excellent against us but this Chelsea side are formidable (should have smashed us) so did you really expect to lay a glove on them, especially in a semi final arena where they have such experience?

I think you're doing about as well as expected this year tbh.

Yeah when they signed him off the back of a stellar season in Italy I said he hasn’t changed after watching the Euros

He has no football brain and is all strength and power….zero finesse

Chelsea thought they were getting a better version of him but they got the same player they sold who had just had it easier in Italy so looked better

Never been a fan of his and even less so now

No one expected to get past Chelsea , they are a well oiled machine

But it was the manner of the defeat for me….I’m not advocating nasty challenges but not one of our players put in a challenge yesterday….stood back and admired

Should have gone through one of them early to set a tone but it was placid to say the least

Whilst I agree Spurs look to be in a decent position in the table with games in hand, the reality is their up and coming fixtures they are liable to get zero points from, pushing them further behind top four. And no way will Spurs win all their games in hand, whoever they are against. 6th/7th best this season until Conte overhauls the complete squad, and I mean complete squad.

Their other tw@t lost his touch since joining them from his German club too!

Money seems to be fritted very easily with them. 1 Billions GBP team that!

However, Ben Davies, Doherty and Tanganga are the prime example of players that would not even get in any of the top 6 sides

Let that sink in.

As much as I want Tanganga to succeed he is a bit brainless

His aggressive style is great and what we need but we need a brain with that too

Romero looks a good mix of intelligence and aggressiveness but we need others with him

I would say we need 2 or 3 first teamers and an overhaul of the fringe players.

When you look at Chelsea last night, they had a very strong team starting but still had Havertz, Ziyech, Thiago, Kante, James, Chiwell, Mendy, Pulisic, Alonso on the bench or unavailable.

Thats almost a full team and most would walk into our XI.

I dont think we can expect to match that, their player wage bill is double ours.

My back 3 when every one is fit;

Davies Romero Dier

Tanganga nowhere near the first 11 or sub bench, needs to be sold or loaned out.

The old lob sided 4 3 3 with Reg bombing on. Emerson sitting with the two CB. GLC pulling the strings cutting in from the left with Skipp and PEH holding the middle down. Lucas and Son roaming behind Kane.
