Ronaldo vs our youth

Here's how I see it going.

Some of the players will take it on board and will want to improve to show him.

Others will still not care and carry on as usual.

We'll keep the players who bring us the most benefit commercially...

I don't think the young players will react to him in the same way as they did to Keane and Cantona before him.
Great player but not inspiring I think, he has a different aura.
Hard for us to know, but that's my halfpennies worth

He should just be safe in the knowledge none of them will ever get close to reaching the heights he has in his career

Didn’t RVN once slap Ronaldo in training in his younger Greenwood time days for doing too many step overs and not putting the ball in early enough ?

If so he listened and leaned, not sure Greenwood will it’s a different time and just look at his behaviour with the England squad, huge talent but he does seem to have a bit of Ravel about him.

Relying on Ronaldo to set standards is the major issue. It should be coming from above.

Until there are consequences for not meeting high standards, rather than lucrative contract extensions, we’ll keep having issues with players coasting.

Ronaldo's return is the best thing to happen to this club post Fergie.

Make no mistake without him Ole's still here passing off this crap season as progress. With Ronnie back the ******* taking the mick out of the club for so long are finally being held to account.

Next season if there's any justice on this planet Rashford will have a job at Downing St, Maguire will be at whatever club is stupid enough to appoint Ole next and Bruno will be taking penalty's in Ole's back garden.

Ruud was sold for being exactly what Ronaldo is now... Overrated glorified tap in merchant who believed his hype more than the good of the team. His leaving led to our Renaissance.

Every club Ronaldo has left, morale rose at every single club. He is just toxic, Jose in form of a player. He will leave soon. Toxic players and managers do not last long at the club. You know the "United way" you all like to ignore has chased Keane and Jose at their most overrated and toxic states. Ronaldo will leave to the US and we will ask ourselves again why we have overpaid an over the hill player to waste the club's time.

Even if all that were true he still wouldn't have taken the mick out of this club as much as Ole, Rashford, Bruno and Maguire have.

He definitely does have a point. If we can set his own contribution aside for a minute, it's pretty clear watching this team that they don't have the fitness or stamina to put in a 90 minute performance.

All Ronaldo has done is confirm something we already knew. I see no issue with him calling them out whatsoever. It shouldn't actually put anybody's nose out of joint as they should all realise what he's said is true.

The standards at this club have slipped massively and the players have their fair share of responsibility in that. There's no place to hide now so hopefully they'll at least reach the bare minimum for effort levels going forward.

This is w r happens when you pay players in their early twenties million point contracts. In their minds, they’ve made it, financially they’ll never struggle, and then thy e hunger is gone.

He's right, I mean what exactly have Utd as a club and its players achieved in the past 8 years? not much, the youth players start of well and then gradually decline starting to believe their own hype when they're awarded with a ridiculous contract because it makes them think they've made it. If they're greedy and want more money, they can take a hike and go elsewhere. Utd are a complete joke of a club now and Ronaldo has realised it.

Players that come here are now are mercenaries, only to pick up a huge pay check and do the bare minimum. Its why non of them seem to actually improve. We had a supply teacher in charge before who was only interested in keeping them happy, but not making them work hard and that culture seems to have seeped right through the squad. Set us back worse than Jose and LVG.

Clever son - every single player at united is over rated! Name one world class player other than de gea? There isn’t one. Maybe varane. Majority of th squad is mid table standard. Very poor players. 130m spent on 2 mid table players in maguire and awb! Midfield is dross etc

So basically Greenwood is a bit of tw@t?

Everybody is supporting this because you all want to believe him but here is the truth, the last time this happened it was Mourinho and his departure led to a change in form so drastic, we played the best football we have played since Fergie left. People need to understand that we are not a team that can take that form of toxicity. Not many teams can.

Do you know how irritating a player who clearly is also performing like sheit is trying to do this? He has no leg to stand on other than he thinks he will get the support of fans who refuse to sit down and look. The greatest difference between the last few years and now is Ronaldo. Fake "world class" player who cannot take a team that was second in the league to the next level, shoots from anywhere, passes players out wide so he can run in for the crosses, shout at players if you do not pass to him even though he will never pass in the same situation, does not not facking work hard after the ball. Honestly, it is Ronaldo you want to be voice of change? Is that how you all miss the toxicity???

We are not some small club where a grade A d***head can walk in and use toxicity to change us. It will never work.

Tbf he’s got more leg to stand on than most of the team this season tomatoes.

And I've noticed the best players if they really want to teach and improve his teammates, you see it on the pitch, you see it in the way they play. So what is it you've seen in his play on the pitch that suggests that? Have you seen Ronaldos face after we score and it's not from him??? Half the time he has a frown. Just look it up. That is who is a visionary here.

MU is being run as a business with the FC maybe not the be all and end all. Players bought for fame, haircuts and hits, investment channelled to Asia, betting, gaming and the women's game.

That is not to say other clubs are not doing the same but United KPIs may not be trophies any more?

Tomatoes lives in a utopian world where our average age of players is 21 and they don’t have attitude problems.
