In who, Donny?

If Donny isn't going to be starting games then we should be sending him on loan to Newcastle. Let him get some game time and hopefully show us what he can do in the PL. By the time his loan is up we will have a clearer idea of what is happening with Pogba and whether or not Donny can perform in the PL, or whether we need to move him on.

"It is the same situation [with Van de Beek]. I'm glad to have him in the squad. I had conversation with him two weeks ago and advised him to stay.

"He wants to play at the World Cup and [The Netherlands manager] Louis van Gaal told him to be a regular starter and he needs to play."

A bit salty from LVG.

Only downside is that we would potentially be helping Newcastle stay up. Id' imagine that there are a lot of PL teams that would like to see them go down and their progress to be hampered by a couple of seasons.

How on earth do people think we have squad strong enough that we can afford to let a player like Van De Beek leave on loan to another prem side?

Because VDB is the worst player in the squad.

You didn't really read what I posted did you? I said, if he isn't going to be starting games. I'd personally keep him and play the lad. But so far he has played 67 minutes in the PL and 379 in all competitions. If that isn't going to increase for the rest of the season, I'd much rather send him out on loan where he will get regular game time in the league.

Even if that were correct (it isnt) we stull couldnt afford to let a midfielder leave

Oh yeah, we’d be losing all his valuable contributions to the team.

He's played 4 games worth of football. Just play Hannibal or Shoretire or someone.

Bit sad Donny will leave without a shot but Henderson is a chancer who won't be missed.

To think he'd be starting over DDG this season if not for Covid, my word the damage Ole was doing.

He isn't going to prove his worth without stating in the PL. And his contributions so far this season could have been covered by a youth prospect.

If Donny does goes I hope we at least get another body in for midfield. Someone who plays deeper as I don't think we can rely on Fred, McT and Matic for the rest of the season.

*Yes I know Pogba could return.

The first two can't be relied on atall.

Neither miss many games through injury. I also rate both individually. Just not as a pairing.

Well yeh, I already said twice if he isn't going to be starting then I'd loan him. Let me know if you need a picture drawing.

Sell Donny in the summer and go all out for Rice. Might be overpriced but he is certainly more of what we need than VDB.

Would improve our first 11 immediately.

If the ambition is midtable they're great, if it's top six they're ok squad players.

If the ambition is to win things they should be replaced immediately.

Using him more doesnt necessarily mean he has to start. Hed still be of more use if he got say, 30 mins per game.

Bit of a leap between top 6 and winning stuff mate.

Both good enough squad players for a side with ambitions to win titles. Look at Liverpools 2nd string midfielders for comparison . Keita, Jones, Milner.

To what end though? He's hard very little impact when he does come off the bench. If we need a goal, he isn't the answer. And if we are ahead and trying to close a game out, he isn't the answer.

What he really needs is regular starts in the PL to try and get up to speed and prove his worth. He is never going to show anything coming off the bench like he has been for the last year and a half. Time to do something different.
