There are supporters who have to travel in and may have to book or confirm accommodations etc...

They need to know as early as possible and it is mid-day already!

This match cannot be allowed to be postponed for injuries, suspensions and players away on African Nations duty, it would make a complete farce of English football. Any club then could ask for any match to be postponed saying they have untold injuries, just because they don`t fancy playing on a certain day.

Knowing us, Arsenal will be forced to play and we'll still lose it, to add to our collection of Spursy moments.

Looking like PL have set precedent with Leicester being granted their wish to postpone based on the same excuses Arsenal have provided.

COVID, injuries and suspensions!

From now on, any side that has injuries and suspension can ask their games to be suspended/

The fairest thing to do is say teams are only allowed to make 2 requests to postpone games (considering many have already had 2 or more requests).
That would make clubs think hard about making a request, as you could have it turned down and lose it then get a covid outbreak later.

Once you have used the 2 (teams like Leicester, Spurs, Burnley already have) then you have to play or forfeit if you have issues.

The rules for this season were created off the back of covid cases. You have 1 confirmed covid case. No way should that warrant a postponement.

If ita called off I genuinely think it wouod cause outrage.

Why the fk are they taking so long about this!? How long does it take to get a few nuts around a monitor to see what Arsenal are left with? I need to know if I'm having a demanding roast beef or not tomorrow. The premier league's a fking joke.

Why do you think that Chronic? Why should it get postponed if Arsenal only have one Covid positive case, same as Spurs.

It is ridiculous, this could have been decided yesterday.

Prem League to Arsenal: How many Covids you got?

Arsenal to Prem League: One

Prem League to Arsenal: Feck off the game goes ahead, are you taking the pee?

It shouldn’t be. But we are spurs, therefore whatever we want to happen, won’t happen. Plus the PL are almost as big a set of pusssssies as arsenal are.

Can’t believe big old arsenal are running away from playing lil old spurs.

Then why did you run away from playing Brighton then? There is such much hypocrisy here it's embarassing. If you want to make Arsenal play tomorrow then a precedent has been set and all those who requested postponements should automatically lose those fixtures.

You have 1 covid case. Remember that before you defend the indefensible.

Didn’t we have like 15 plus cases plus our training ground was closed ?

Arsenal loaned out all their players and then wanna postpone the game

One glaring issue with this

We had 12 cases of covid for the Brighton game you have one ?

You will be right about a precedent being set though….if it gets postponed for 1 case of covid then it will be a free for all for teams to make up injuries if they don’t fancy playing a game at that time

Let’s put it this way if it’s postponed I’m sure we will see at least 13 first teamers and a goalkeeper in the 2nd leg in the week

Just get a few suspensions, make up some injuries and voilà

Arsenal are a joke of a club

If only I thought we would make some signings and make them pay for it later in the season
