Excellent decision by the Aussie government

Good to see the Aussie govt show that the elite and ‘entitled’ are not above the law. Gives a strong message 👍

Banned from Oz for 3 years as well.

Well done Australia. This ruling sends a clear message out to the rest of the world that although freedom of choice and human rights are respected, there are harsh consequences for demanding they are upheld.

If he wants to make people love him then he should stop playing the victim and head over to those countries you see in the wateraid adverts and use his power of thought, healing, energy and gratitude to turn the toxic water clean. Then he really can be seen as an😇

Aus gov were not forcing him to take the vaccine, only to follow the rules applied to everyone, right or wrong.

I never saw the big debate tbh. Whether you agree with Australia’s stance on vaccine status or not, they’re entitled to govern their country as they see fit.

They have decided everyone coming in must be vaccinated, Djokovic isn’t. Seems pretty simplistic to me. They just tied themselves up in knots over exemptions.

So because Spain don’t apply their own rules you don’t expect Australia to?

It was Tennis Australia and then the state of Victoria who initially granted him exemption, based on his visa application submission.

Which the federal government border force found irregularities with on arrival. And the player himself conceded he had falsified his visa application (breaching isolation after a positive test).

No one should have any sympathy for him, as he's been the architect of his own misfortune.

Djokovic has a choice whether to take the vaccine. Entirely his choice.

With choice come consequences.

Some choose to get vaccinated and can travel everywhere, got to events, go on holiday.

Some choose to vote Tory and the consequences that come with that.

Some choose to support Rangers and only celebrate 1 trophy in their lifetime.

Some choose to be meat eaters and enjoy the taste of a dead animals carcass while more animals are slaughtered to help your enjoyment.

Some choose to work hard at school so they can holiday in the Algarve

Life is a choice

The correct decision by the Australian authorities.

Djokovic tried and failed to pull a fast one.

I have no expectations whatsoever regarding Australia. They can do what they want.

While his being an anti vaxxer is obviously part of this I think people seem to be forgetting the key points in this that aren't exclusively covid related.

Telling lies to immigration and providing them with false documents has never been something that ends well. Take the covid vaccine out of it and he is still a bawheid.

As for the vaccine, vaccines to gain entry to certain countries is not a new thing. This is just a new one. Don't want that vaccine, don't go there then. Fairly simple.

Novax Deporcovid

Get fecked. The actual audacity of him challenging the rules of a sovereign nation. Prįck.

He's really shown himself up as an entitled vvank who thinks money and celebrity means the rules don't apply to him. Then you've got the Serbian president giving it the whole "he's only being treated like this because he's Serbian" like that has anything to do with it. Actually pretty disappointed at the preferential treatment he was given - if they were treating him "fairly" they'd have dumped him on an island detention camp and got round to processing his application in a year or so.

If it was this country we'd have bent over backwards for him, apologised on behalf of the entire nation, given him an honourary knighthood and then treated him as a Jesus type figure all through Wimbledon.
