Lukaku has proven he has what it takes in the PL, S ie A and at international level. Chelsea rightly won’t sell him unless Lukaku forces a move. Lukaku is a very good number 9 but he is not world class and agat the very best teams he has no proven himself. But let’s no dismiss his impact agst the o sees teams. It is only two weeks ago he won the game agst Villa for us and was our best player agst Brighton.
The only attacking players I don’t mind the club selling in the summer are Werner and Ziyech.

Chelsea did try for Lewandonski. After that Lukaku seemed like the right option. In fairness to Lukaku he has missed a chunk of games this season and in 70% of the ones he has played in he has done well. He has just never done it agst the very best. He gives us diversity in attack, so for me it was the right decision to buy him.

FFS, Chelsea couldn't spot a decent attacking player even if he was already at the club.
Look at De Bruyne & Salah for proof, luckily they were sold before Chelsea destroyed them.
Shearer did an excellent analyses on MOTD about Chelsea's attacking players and our wing backs.so many eames of when we could and should have played Lukaku in much earlier. He got a very poor service yesterday and he combined that with just giving the ball away too many times with his back to goal.
The whole Chelsea attack was awful including Lukkaku.

Others have summed it up well. Chelsea always seem to sign strikers when they are on a downward curve. Should be looking to invest in young ones that can improve. Haaland the obvious one but with the money you’ve spent on Lukaku, Havertz, Werner can you afford to splash out again in that position.

Chelsea did try for Lewandonski. After that Lukaku seemed like the right option.
