I thought Hjelde was great bearing in mind his lack of experience at this level.

Rapha looks like he'll be gone in the summer, just out and out class, but we will be mugs if we accept anything less than 70 million.

Thought James had a great game - constantly pulling and stretching the Hammers defence with his pace - can see his benefit to the team in a Bielsa system.

...mention for Jack - can't ask a player more than to score a winning hat trick

Jonty, was that a typo or is that a new word for three goals. A Patrick.

A few dodgy passes but the fight and commitment from the 1st minute to the last was just brilliant from every Leeds player

I think everyone played very well today. Outside of Rodrigo
who looked lost. Which hopefully was down
to being out so long and lack of fitness. Hope so.

Raph is a sheer magician. Wonderful player. First
half he looked or seemed quiet (for him). Came alive
though. I've been feeling he's trying to protect himself
from injury (as he's crucial to our success). That
feeling disappeared quickly. He's brilliant.

Struijk was a monster today. He practically marked
Antonio out of the game. Jack was fabulous. So
many played so well. James was non-stop. His chase
down of their goalkeeper was crazy. Only he could've
done that. Forshaw and Firpo were good upto the
injuries. Klich great again. I thought Bates was good.

The whole team. Damn. Great day. Great win.

When you look at the lads that played today and then look at Arsenal getting their game called off, you have to wonder where the PL’s sympathies lie.

Everyone played their part today.

We deserved the 3 points today, the whole team were brilliant
As for Bielsa, is there a better manager in world football, never complains about injuries or VAR or poor refereeing just gets on with it.

I love way he takes ownership and never complains.

I like Moyes, but listening to him whine on about he's had to play a match more than us, is, will simply pathetic.

Disappointing from Moyes.

When MB waved 'scrub it' and get on with it after the poor 'VAR' decision just summed him up for me.

Could any other Manager in Professional World football get as much out of an injury ravaged squad whose core is ' Deemed Once ex Championship also rans' as he does?

All the players buy into him and his philosophy because they know that their footballing experience is all the better for his tutelage and guidance.

Hjelde is 18 and a centre back, he was making his premier league debut, out of position, I think he looks very special.
Struijk, Llorente, Cooper, Koch, Cresswell, Hjelde, Moore and Mullen, I have no worries about the future centre-back wise.

VAR got the klich "goal" spot on, Rodrigo not beyond the final defender (Cresswell?) but Fabianski was off his line.

Rodrigo - was offside even though he’s level with the last defender, because Fabianski was way out of his goal.
Moyes - I like Moyes, but moaning that we didn’t have a rescheduled game midweek…how? Liverpool and Villa both played.
Llorente - Antonio ran him ragged last week, Struijk was immense.
Bowen - Scored, but didn’t have anywhere near the game he had last week.
Young debutants - Hjelde and Bate, very well played lads!
London curse - I think it’s over!
New signings - Don’t think we’ll see any, maybe a loan or 2.
So many good performances today…that was the Leeds from last season.

Really pleased with the result.

I think the fact that Radz etc were there to see a spirited performance and a win away at a team in the top six with a much depleted side (and getting more so each game) will mean we are less likely to sign anybody.

And the pundits were right to say it all evens out. Burnley will have had lots of rest but will face one hell of a fixture congestion at some point.

Els, I think Burnley are fooked. No way that small squad minus Wood can get on the positive side of their upcoming fixture glut.

I agree Els.
Was looking in on a Man U thread yesterday about Sancho because I knew they would mention Dan James, many think he’s been no upgrade at all and better still they spent £73 million 😂. James played well today and he seems to be getting better every game.

The rule on offside is pretty clear, Rev. “A player in an offside position the moment the ball is touched…is only penalized on becoming involved in active play by: interfering with play by touching or playing a ball passed or touched by a team-mate…”
My understanding is that all Rods has to do is touch the ball to be in an offside position, hence the goal was disallowed.
Bielsa has instilled a ‘get on with it’ mentality in his players, and what a response they gave us!

I don't think he was offside when ball was played though.

The ball was going in , Cresswell no where near it - Rodrigo is fscing the other way and it brushes his side - law needs ommon sense applied.
