and was a handful. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Bamford
as our advanced two. James playing the Rodrigo role.
Even if it's for a half. Curious to see it.
Rumour of signing the young Belgian lad in the midfield would be nice. No idea if he's any good but have to trust the club.

Apparently we've agreed a 6 million deal for Nicolas Raskin. Box to box Belgian U21.
Cheers Shaun. If that's true, this falls under the
Athletic's 'Sensible Transfer' model. Six mill, if he
can help immediately is very sensible for us.

I don't see James as being able to play in the midfield as 8/10. So its James or Bamford up top and I think Bamford has to start if fit. He offers what James does with the pressing and is surprisingly quick, but he's also a much better finisher obviously.
Then it's James or Harrison on the left, and Harrison just scored a hattrick.
If Forshaw is available he obviously starts anyway.
its getting close to having a problem with who gets in the team. fantastic problem to have.
i like the guy but dont think rodrigo should be in the starting 11 with all these players back.
backup for bamford i would imagine.

Yeah I think James misses out if Bamford is fit.
If Rodrigo doesn’t play it has to be because we are starting either Hjelde or Bate.
Because we will be trying to dominate the game against Newcastle more so than West Ham away I don’t see Hjelde being used as a left back.
Its Bate or Rodrigo in the midfield for me.

A reason I said I'd be a bit unwilling doing deals with Leeds, the one with Leipzig still on going and one with Bayern that went wrong!..
And the Lasogga thing didn't go the way it was meant to, so I think German clubs will think twice before doing any deals with us!..

Rodrigo was excellent against the Toon last time out. This match is made for him.

Dallas has to start at LB for me. Starting a CB there is a recipe for disaster if they start ASM, and Struijk may be needed in the middle against Wood. I'd be tempted to start Rodrigo, and swap him for Bate at half time if it isn't working. Don't like the idea of Raphinha at 10.
Add Stuart McKinstry to the growing list of injuries, very marginal I know but reduces options even further down.
