You’d have to be incredibly sad/ a massive attention seeker to be otherwise...
I, for one... have a lot of respect for for pensioners... especially Spurs supporting ones, who’ve seen the great 60’s & early 70’s sides...
He’s probably more frustrated with Spurs, than anyone... as he’s seen how great we once were...
I experienced frustration right from the onset... as I started supporting Spurs in the worst season in our history... the 1976-77 relegation season!!

Conn & Duncan, I remember that season very well, went to most of the games. Spurs were not very good, but they regrouped in the old 2nd division, which was one of my best ever of following Spurs. I was at most of the games home and away and enjoyed it as much as any season I have seen Spurs play, with a really nail biting final day at Southampton.
I see your name is derived from two players of that season. I liked Alfie, he was a crowd pleaser and John Duncan was a very decent striker.

I may have to have a bit of think about that one, there has been a lot of dross, especially over the past 30 seasons.
It`s a lot easier to pick 11 best players than 11 worse players. Mind you even the worse 11 are still better at football than any poster in all probability.

Ian Moores bagged a hat-trick against Bristol Rovers in the 9-0 win, but didn`t do a lot else in his Spurs career. Gerry Armstrong seemed to play better for Northern Ireland than Spurs and Chris Jones, I quite liked, but he was always going to be replaced by a better striker long term.

From years of discussions on here with Sandy this is what I think...
Sandy is 'real' but is much younger than 72 or whatever age he is currently pretending to be. I believe this because as mentioned in this thread he claimed to be 70 eight years ago and then recently said he is 72. Also when he recalls in great detail matches that happened 50 years ago that anyone other than Rainman wouldn't remember. His descriptions are clearly gleaned from Google.
The Mr Positive farce further damaged his credibility.
Sandy definitely has sock accounts. The hard thing is working out for sure who they are. I'm pretty sure Genius Greaves is one if them. To be fair Sandy was organised early on setting up sock accounts. I believe the only people who claim to have met Sandy are sock accounts.
I currently have Sandy filtered because I'm so bored of the way he dominates this forum. This is the first and only time I have filtered someone so I didn't do it lightly.

This why I do not post on here as much as used to do. People make it personal, resorting to insults and other playground stuff.
Banter is great, as long as it is only banter. Some people don’t seem to understand where the line is, people like sizzle (aka Automatic for the people) who see racism in every comment if someone disagrees with him on anything.
I have only met Sandy once and that was at the ground when our U18’s played Southampton as the first opening game.
I found him okay, even though we have different political beliefs we still got on okay. Being a similar age (I will be 72 on the 1st March) we obviously can go back a lot further when we reminisce about previous Spurs teams and players. My first game was the match against Everton at WHL way back in October 1958. At that time only my Dad was a Spurs supporter, we won 10-4 and I was hooked and have been ever since, through all the trials and tribulations Spurs take their fans.
I have never wavered and I love going to the new stadium and think my season ticket is well worth the money.
I suppose what I am trying to say, is that we all have a common goal (no pun intended) and that is to see the team be successful whilst playing attractive football.
A bit of banter is great, but I do wish some on here would remember that most of us are on the same side so we should be reasonably nice to each other.
I enjoy chatting to some of the opposition fans on here too, yes there are idiots on every board, but above all else we are all football fans.
Have a good weekend and let’s hope for a strong and spirited response from our players tomorrow, after that amazing turnaround on Wednesday. COYS
