If team selection goes as you predict gem then a comfortable home win is on the cards. But Dean Smith might want to build up some momentum from their win against Watford by fielding a strong side.

Bruno meanwhile might want to give games to some fringe players. I’d be disappointed if Chiquinho didn’t get a game. And he might throw in Hoever, Jordao or Cundle. The game will probably come to soon for Neto, Mosquera, Jonny and Hwang but be good to see any of those back playing. And will he pick Saiss on his return or stick with Tito? Probably will pick Ruddy

Either way you’d fancy a home win and then we’d only be two games from another trip to Wembley

Norwich finding some form with the new manager but given the break prior, we should field a strong side and beat them.

Is it international week then?

I think it’s called a winter break

Really? Didn't know we did that. You would think with all the postponements they would have pushed it forward if anything

Indeed but appears not

Looking at the league table after the weekend games. The two teams immediately behind us Leicester and Brighton played out a 1-1 draw today. Leicester are 10th and are 8 points behind us with a game in hand and we play them in Feb. Brighton are 4 points behind us in 9th but have played a game more than us.

Looking upwards Spurs and Arsenal are 2 points above us and they represent our next two opponents in the league. West Ham are three points above us but have played two more than us and we also play them in Feb.

So we play most of the teams around us in Feb and like that card game, will we end that month higher, lower or sticking

We are serious contenders in this competition. Anything can happen, But nobody is going to fancy playing us.

Spurs have not looked good today, definitely got a chance of a good cup run and I had a couple of quid each way at 40/1 before third round

If (big if) we win our next two games against Arsenal and Spurs we will be 6th regardless of what anyone else does. Happy days.

Interested to read a website that is keeping an ongoing record through the season of how many times each team has benefitted or suffered from VAR decisions this season. The feeling is that the top teams benefit most but that isn’t shown in these stats, but what is shown is a clear benefit to being a London club. The teams to have benefitted most, in order, are West Ham, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Watford and Brentford. Only two teams have suffered more than Wolves and that’s Norwich and Newcastle

Tonight in the ACON there is a game in the last 16 between Comoros and Cameroon. It’s a major shock that Comoros reached this stage and they come up against one of the favourites to win the competition who are playing in their home country.

Should be a one sided game anyway but to make things more difficult for Comoros they don’t have a goalkeeper. Two of the keepers in their squad have covid and the other is injured so they will be playing an outfield player in goal. Could be a cricket score in this one

Just noticed Adama Traore is 26 tomorrow. Will he be getting a really big present?

posted on 24/1/22

Yes, I've ordered him a XXXXL tee-shirt

is that big enough.

In light of the latest "Happy Clappergate" League point fixing scandal, someone needs to look into a rule change in this fun comp as well?

Plenty of tickets left for the cup tie at the moment. Norwich not bringing many, they’ve just been allocated the North Bank quadrant

Interesting breakdown on Traore on MolMix.

This season our record when Traore starts is: 2 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses.

Our record when Traore starts on the bench is: 10 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.

Yep, no surprise. Without the ball he is effectively useless and Trincao who gets the nod is infinitely better off the ball defensively.

I think those stats give a distorted picture to be honest. Adama regularly starts games when we play the top teams and we don't expect to have much of the ball, as he gives us an "out ball" on the break.

We have won a lot of those 10 games thanks to him coming off the bench and changing the course of the match.

With this in mind, I think Spurs should definitely sign him for £30million plus add ons.
