I think there will be an agreement to buy in there. Barca just can't have it as an obligation for FFP reasons.
Pleased for Traore. It is obviously a dream move for him. Hope it works out for him.
Certainly can't blame Traore for wanting to go to Barcelona. He will be a bench player mostly when they have a fit side but he would be at most top half clubs either way.
Good luck to him, hopefully he tears it up over the coming months so we get the deal done, he should get a lot of starts as they are in dire straights forward wise at the moment.
Diogo Jota - Rafa Mir - Adama Traore
A forward line that would surely test Amiga's opinion that Wolves never make any mistakes in the transfer market?

How are they mistakes? and again I have never said Wolves won't make mistakes. I have said and I will repeat. the trick is to keep those mistakes to a minimum.
Unlike someone like other teams. Everton a Prime example. If you want to see where those mistakes can lead, Take a look at Sunderland, Bolton etc.
Barcelona’s financial limits are more to do with the Spanish salary cap system than ffp. This is a different cap for every club in Spain and is based on revenue and debts. Barcelona have been badly managed financially for a few years now and have massive debts so their salary cap has been reduced significantly which is why they couldn’t retain the likes of Messi and Griezeman. Their cap is now the 6th highest in Spain and hundreds of millions less than Real Madrid who have been much better managed financially. Expect Real to dominate La Liga for the next few years. Valencia are another club given a really low cap due to their debts so there could be some bargains to be had by buying their best players
MGW is still injured and will miss the next few weeks. But Wolves have confirmed that once fit he will return to Sheff Utd to complete his season long loan
Future fixture times now confirmed
Norwich cup game is Saturday 5th Feb at 15:00
Arsenal home game is Thursday 10th Feb at 19:45 on Sky
Spurs away is Sunday 13th Feb at 14:00 not televised
Leicester at home is Sunday 20th Feb at 16:30 on Sky
West Ham away is Sunday 27th Feb at 14:00 on Sky
Leeds at home is Friday 18th March at 20:00 live on Sky although that game will need to be rearranged if we get to the 6th round of the FA Cup

Wolves hold a strong interest in Marseille’s centre-back Caleta-Car and reportedly have made an offer this month.
The Croatian international is also monitored by West Ham. They have offered a loan deal + option to buy Flag of Croatia
would rather a CM
To be fair Tino, sometimes you just make the deal that is available at the time. If Wolves are in for Caleta, It might not be so much about need, but more about being too good an opportunity to miss.
They may well be targeting a CM. Just the player isn't available, at a price that makes sense.

take a day off
we only have 1 loan space available, unless they complete the Trincao deal,
we're like the ginger stepkid and we get 1 present not 2 at christmas
Cant see us being treated to a CB and CM and right now our need of a CM is far greater
Donk and Saiss to move back into Centre Midfield?

It isn't about greater need Tino. It is about making the best deals you can.
If we can get a CM, on the terms to suit the club, we will do the deal. The chances are we won't find a deal that suits and we will go with what we have.
With the emergence of Tito, the need for Celeta, has diminished. So I'm sure Wolves are simply seeing it as too good to miss.
Give up Tino, Amiga knows best.

We're quickly running out of options to run the club on this board. I don't know where they are going to turn next.
I have always felt a midfielder was our priority this month, an attacking and goalscoring one ideally. I think the need for a new centre back has gone away really. Saiss will be back soon, Tito has impressed in his couple of games and hopefully Boly and Mosquera will both be fit in Feb.
Hope Chiquinho gets a game against Norwich so we can see if he can fill the gap in the squad vacated by Traore. But Neto should also return in Feb. And Fabio is starting to look ready to be the alternative to Raul.
In midfield we still look light to me. An injury to Neves or Moutinho leaves us vulnerable. Donk can come in but is a different kind of player and is maybe better as part of a 5 man midfield. Don’t see Saiss as a Premier League midfielder and defence is his position now. We have Jordao and Cundle and maybe we should try one of those against Norwich. But now or the summer we should be in for a quality midfielder to add to the squad and succeed Moutinho, who remains out of contract in June
Pretty much agree with Spangles
The problem is we need someone BETTER THAN WE ALREADY HAVE.
This is a drum I've been banging for a couple of years now. If we bring in a CM, who misses out? Neves or Moutinho? Will the new signing be BETTER than either of those 2? I very much doubt it.
Also, we risk creating disharmony in the dressing room and unhappy players sat on the bench.
So for now, let's just enjoy the ride and accept that we all want what's best for the club we all love, without the constant bickering.
I don't think we are bickering Blackcountry. Even you seem to have come around to being smart in our transfer dealings.
Buying a midfielder now, doesn't necessarily mean he has to be ready now (like Silva) But he has to have the potential to improve the squad, or at least be someone we can make a profit on.
I think Wolves are doing a cracking job in their transfer dealings. Hence our position in the Prem. despite relatively modest spending compared to most other teams.
Thousands of tickets left for the Norwich game when I looked yesterday. Today the tickets went on general sale and when I went online to look I was number 5282 in the queue. Needless to say most tickets have now gone, about 1,000 left at the moment so all the makings of another sell out
nice assist there TBC
but with a few member of the regular matchday 18 being the wrong side of 30, unless we want a big overhaul in one or two windows, we need to bring in the players and get them integrated
I don't think the need for a centre back has gone away. Toti has filled in well for a few games, but we have no idea whether he will kick on from here or whether we have seen him at his best the last two games.
If we can bring in a proven centre half that could play for the club for 10 years, we should 100% be doing it. At the moment our options are; Coady who has questions on whether he can adapt to a back 4, Saiss who is 32 in March and hasn't signed a new contract, Boly who we aren't sure if we will see again and Toti who was at Grasshoppers last month and we have no idea how he will progress.
Other than Kilman, I don't think we have a confirmed long term option at the back who can adapt and grow with the team. For me it is just as important as the midfield.
We need a CM "AND" a CB in reality.
We appear to have options up front now.
I think the point is, for now we are well covered in defence. Midfield the options are far more limited. So hence the fans focusing there.
It makes sense, but there is no need to panic buy.
Are we well covered in defence? What if Toti drops a couple of clangers in the next game? Or Kilman gets injured?
It's negligent to think that we are covered just because a youngster has played well a couple of games.
