Another rule to favour the big clubs

No MGW for Sheffield U, shame I was going to look in and see how he was playing

Me too, evidently he needs some time to get up to speed after his injury. Still fancy a blades win though

Looking at the Blues game reminds of the sorry state Wolves were in at one stage. Two sides of the stadium closed for safety issues and no chance of that being fixed until the start of next season at the earliest. Just the consequences of the club being run poorly for many years

Wonder who we tried to lumber them with

If Grasshoppers are getting stick for being a feeder club for Wolves then they are bound to defend themselves by making out that they aren’t. In the last year there’s just been too many deals between the clubs and we probably need to limit things a bit more. Tricky one for Grasshoppers because although it doesn’t feel good to the fans to be a feeder club, I think it’s something they’ve benefitted from

Heading for pens at Old Trafford. 1-1 at the moment with 15 minutes of ET to go. Borough's goal scored after a clear handball which VAR ruled as ok. Love it!

At least eleven players I can think of that we have sent to Grasshoppers the last two/three seasons.

Herc
Bonatini
Campana
Bin
Kawabe
Jordao
Toti
Bolla
Ronan
Ming Yang
Buur

Thing about that Greenwood business is that now all that stuff is in the public domain, there's no chance he'll get a fair trial; his lawyers will see to that. He's already earned more than I will in my lifetime probably too so he'll have a nice long retirement now the horrible piece of shat.

Many defendants go to trial with the details of their crimes in the public domain. He will get as fair a trial as any other “celebrity” offender.

If he gets charged, if he pleads not guilty, he will have to take his chances with a jury. Statistics and investigations show that 79% of jury members have unconsciously decided on a guilty verdict before they’re sworn in!

Good luck Mason.

In his press conference yesterday Bruno gave an update on the injured players. Hwang should be fit in 2 weeks. Neto back in full training in 2 weeks and available in a month. Jonny now back in full training. Mosquera and Boly both close to returning to full training and are already working with the team. Should have something like a full squad by mid March

Even bull doesn't think it was a good window

posted on 5/2/22

I can’t see how anyone can say it was a good window cause nothing happened to strengthen the squad. I thought that scenario was predictable since it’s usually the case in January, and few teams have strengthened. But some had different expectations it seems

I don't think anyone expected to come out of it weaker. We lost a first team player on loan with no guarantee of getting the funds and only brought in an unknown.

If you look at the transfer window as a whole, not much changed anywhere. The deal for Traore had to be done, especially for the money. and we have bought in a young talent.

Either way we go again, and it is pretty much the same for every other team in and around us.

Trying to be positive, I think we're only short term weaker, once Hwang and Neto are back Traore would probably have been relegated from 3rd choice winger to 5th choice. Interesting to read that Bruno thinks Campbell and Chiquinho are about the same level at the moment and they will be our options for now. Similar with Cundle who he believes can step up and provide cover in the middle for Neves & Moutinho.

The problem we will have is being able to get these younger lads in to the side to get what they really need which is some experience at PL level. Hopefully today's game will provide that opportunity albeit in the cup.

You've got to love the FA Cup. My local team, Kidderminster Harriers are 1 up against West Ham and Plymouth are 1 up against Chelsea.

Kiddie

Plymouth beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge too

Anyone that's at the game this afternoon happens to see a scruffy looking Herbert covered in mud, that'll be my son. He's fecked off to the park to play footie with his mates and I guarantee he won't be home in time to get changed before we have to leave for the station.

Chelsea levelled the score to 1-1 before HT but Kiddy still 1 up.

Grasshoppers back in action today, so I wonder how many of our 5 loan players will get to start.

Next season they'll only be allowed 3 players on loan from us.

If you think we were weakened, how about Spurs:-

Conte oversaw his first transfer window with the club in January, when record-signing Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil all left on loan.

Ndombele cost Spurs £54m in 2019, while Lo Celso was £27.2m in 2020 and Gil joined from Sevilla for £22.5m in July.
