St Mirren beat Aberdeen 1-0 yesterday thanks to Connor Ronan 'doing a Neves'. A stunning strike well worth a watch.

Not sold on Hwang but 12 million for someone that will likely be benched quite a bit, dunno if that is value or not. Probably is.

As others have said though, timing seems unnecessary, if he were to pick up an injury in the next three to four months it will really suck.

I think Hwang is impressive when he plays off Jimenez. His link up play with him has been very good.

He is less impressive when playing as the main striker or too wide in the system that he can not make the runs off the striker.

Yeah, he looks lost when out wide to me.

Becomes permanent in the summer

Can't believe Ronan is 23 now - surely he should either be given a go in our first team squad or sold. Doesn't look like he is going to make it in the PL.

Here's his goal. Nice one, but Neves scores his from outside the box mainly. He's been out on loan now for 4 years, so I really can't see him donning a Wolves shirt. He's contracted until 2025 tho'.

Could be a January sale bargain. Spiers reports that we're paying £12.9 mill, not £14 mill

posted on 26/1/22

Even cheaper - £11.9 mill

posted on 26/1/22

Just read on the official Wolves website that Hwang will become a permanent deal on July 1st.

£11.9 million is good value for a forward. Particularly when you consider the commercial opportunities in South Korea if he does well.

Well, against the flow I rate him. His early appearances showed plenty of promise and when he gets up to speed and full fitness I think we have netted a bargain.
We were thinking of buying that donkey from Cardiff for I don't know how much last summer, what a mess up that would have been.
I still have not seen much from Fabio that makes me think he was worth anything like what we paid for him.
We will see.

Disagree with this, Fabio’s first half shot against Brentford last week that was ruled offside was pure quality. The way he chested the ball down and got his shot away in one movement showed all the hallmarks of a top striker.

It’s early days, but I really like the kid.

This Hwang deal looks quite bizarre and not sure why it’s been announced right now. Seems we’ve agreed to buy him in June and he will remain on loan until then. So actually nothing has changed in that he will stay on loan and we will then take up the option to buy at the price previously agreed, Suppose at least the player knows the plan is to keep him

I think it’s just to placate impatient fans like Cinci and show some intent to actually strengthen the squad.

Portuguese press saying Joao Palhina will leave Sporting Lisbon this month for €30m. He is linked with Spurs, Man Utd, Seville and Athletic Madrid but there are reports saying Mendes is trying to make it happen for Wolves. We can but hope

Described as a defensive midfielder and his goals stats seem to bear that out: 10 in 175 appearances at club level. He might free Neves or Moutinho to advance further up field.

I reckon the only reason they've announced the Hwang signing today is the 26s. Squad number 26, signs until '26 on his 26th birthday, January 26th. Social media heaven.

Talking of social media just seen Coady's Instagram, he's on holiday with Tyrone Mings of all people.

I would imagine Coady and Mings became pals when playing alongside each other for England. Tyrone Mings strikes me as a thoroughly decent chap so I could imagine Coady becoming friends with him.

Making a loan permanent won't placate me or Bruno.
