He is absolutely correct, with United close behind them.

Varpool are the media darlings though and Klopp can whinge and whine his way to anything. They are desperate for Varpool to push City for the title and are doing their utmost to drag them into it, just like they dragged them into the CL last season and dragged them to a covid title.

VAR is being used as a tool to influence the majority of games in Pool`s favour, anybody with half a brain can see that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Anybody with half a brain like you sure. Anybody with s full brain actually looks at that statistics and sees we've suffered more than any other team with var.

So fack off back to your studio apartment in Seven Sister you looting khunt.

He was looking for the penalty. Its no big deal, we all have these players in our team. Jota has a history of it during his time at Wolves. Not sure why you all have such a hard time admitting it.

Goalkeeper was nowhere near the ball and takes the player out. Stonewall penalty.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Only reason he was nowhere near the ball is because Jota miskicked it so badly.

And only reason that there was contact is because Jota stepped into him.

I suppose Penandes would have jumped over the advancing keeper to avoid contact?

Of course not. As I said a few posts back, we all have these players in our team. Although there is a difference between not jumping to allow the contact and stepping into the keeper to initiate the contact.

I mean, its not like the keeper was sliding into Jota with his legs out. He'd planted his knees and tried to save the shot with his hands, but Jota totally missed his kick and then stepped into him. The keeper wasn't even going to make contact with Jota until he makes that step towards him.

This narrative that the keeper was out of control is complete BS. He was very much in control and comes to a stop right on the edge of the 6 yard box. No contact would have been made if Jota hadn't initiated it. It is a dive for me, but as Vieira said after the game, Jota was very clever about it.

This is all fair enough until you claim that Jota initiated contact rather than simply having to place his foot where he did due to his body shape and the fact he was looking to retrieve the ball after he missed his attempted shot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That not what happened though. He fluffs the shot, plants his foot, then takes another step into the keeper. Watch the replay from behind the goal line and he clearly changes his direction towards the keeper, not towards the ball, which had gone to his left.

Have a look on the 13 seconds mark. A clear step towards the keeper.

History will say that it was a penalty. It's no big deal. Sometimes they're given, sometimes not.

Deal with it and move on. Not sure why you are finding it difficult to accept this.

I'm not finding it hard to accept anything. We just have a difference of opinion and I'm voicing mine the same as everyone else. No big deal.

I don't need to look at anything. I have seen it from every angle and from every angle, it is clear that it was a coming together. Never in a million years is it a penalty or a dive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It is 100% a dive. Just because Jota managed to disguise it pretty well doesn't alter that. He went looking for the penalty and he got it. Fair play to him, it was very clever. Its still a dive and I feel sorry for the defender and the keeper, who both did well, only to be robbed.
