Wouldn't bother with the catch-up to be honest, very little of interest, only that Mel Morris is supposedly going to be present when parties next meet up. Friday I think they said.

Same old, same old then?
Pretty much. Lots of talking around the subject, we must save our great club etc. Re-iterating stuff we already know. Council leader made an interesting statement that apart from Kirchner other potential buyers have refused to meet him. He seemed to think that MM will want to "do right by the club". Hmmm. Quantuma going to make a statement tomorrow morning. Appleby consortium believed to have made a bid similar to Binnies but including stadium. A bit of a consensus that Boro and Wycombe may need to be bought off as "part of the bigger picture".

Was also mentioned that Appleby has spoken to Gibson and is the only interested party known to have done so!
I would like to think that Morris will now do the right thing. His ambitions for the club may have all gone horribly wrong but hopefully, if the chance to presents itself, he will "do right by the club"
Why leave it till the witching hour would be my gripe if he does the decent thing.
Have to say I enjoyed and was heartened listening to the radio tonight, I initially thought why would we regurgitate two hours of what we’ve all being saying for months but having a diverse range of rams fans made it interesting and credit to Chris Coles, he keeps it flowing.
Wonder what Ramage would make off it all.
I can see why any prospective owner would not give Gibson the time of day. The whole business is in reality nothing to do with him and he is only forcing himself into it because of his hatred for Morris. But I guess the sensible thing is to be pragmatic and pick your battles. If the price of survival is for Gibson to get his pound of flesh then so be it, however much it sticks in the craw.
As long as I die before Derby, my headstone is still intact.
You may need to get a move on, Igor. Let's hope not.
Friday:-
Black and White Day at work - wear it with pride and also to annoy the Head
You were also on Tipping Point yesterday. The question being as to who holds the record for the worst points total in the Premier league.
Was it
Ipswich
Derby County or
Birmingham City.
Answers of a post card.

Would that team in that season have accrued 11 more Premier league points than Nottingham Forest have accrued this century or even this millennium?
Not much of a record though is it.

You mean not not having any Premier League points this century. It's no record at all as you share that honour with the likes of Fleetwood, Accrington Stanley and Burton Albion. Really that says where Forest are a club.

Takes us to March... by which time we will have a much clearer picture of where we'll be playing next season, the Boro issue etc etc .
Which allows bidders a fairer assessment of what they are letting themselves in for.
Ideally, it gets sorted today: realistically, I'd be wanting to triple check what I was buying given the web of intricate dealings that Mel has woven over the last few years and the admins are trying to pull apart.
So we get to play Boro, that will be testy on all fronts, I hope the idiots don’t kick off on both sides

I sent an email to Margaret Beckett MP this morning. I got an automated reply to the effect that she can only respond to people who live in her constituency and who will provide their name and address. If anyone feels inclined to send it then feel free. I don't think my local Tory Shropshire MP will be much use.
Dear Mrs Beckett,
As a lifelong Derby County supporter and season-ticket holder for more than 50 years I want to thank you for all you have done and are doing to highlight the plight of our club, and to find a way of preserving it. I am sure that media coverage is helping.
Rick Parry at the EFL is generally avoiding scrutiny. You may not know his past history, but while Chief Executive at Liverpool FC he was found to be guilty of making an illegal approach to a Middlesbrough footballer, Christian Ziege. Steve Gibson, the Middlesbrough owner, sued Liverpool and Parry was forced to pay Middlesbrough millions of pounds in an out of court settlement. So it is fair to say that this pair have history, and that Rick Parry has every reason to fear Steve Gibson. Mr Gibson has recently threatened to sue the EFL over its shoddy practices when it comes to applying Financial Fair Play regulations, and Middlesbrough only dropped these proceedings when Mr Parry gave his support to Middlesbrough's claims against Derby County, which as you are aware have no legal basis. That the EFL continue to refuse to acknowledge the latter has been a major stumbling block in a takeover of our club.
It is absolutely clear that Middlesbrough FC are effectively blackmailing the EFL, and that the EFL is too scared of Steve Gibson to resist. We need to ask why this is, and ask publicly. The likeliest reason is that the EFL knows that if it is sued by Middlesbrough FC it would be likely to lose the case and that its house of cards might well fall. Mr Parry knows from experience what a formidable adversary is Mr Gibson. It may well be the case that because of their long association together that Mr Gibson knows other details of EFL practices which would be embarrassing if they came to light.
Mr Parry should also be asked how he came to appoint Peter Ridsdale to the EFL board. The latter was found guilty of siphoning hundreds of thousands of pounds from football clubs into his own personal bank account, via his sports business. He was banned for seven years from being a company director as a consequence of this, but this close friend of Mr Parry is considered to be an appropriate person to sit on the EFL board. How can this possibly have occurred? It is scandalous.
All these details are a matter of public record. The EFL is a shabby, self-serving organisation which is unfit for purpose. Mr Parry's current actions are those of a man who will do anything to try to preserve his own position, and he will sacrifice DCFC to protect himself if need be. This must not be allowed to happen. DCFC must be saved and the EFL must be investigated. In the meanwhile all pressure should be put on the EFL to state the correct legal position, i.e. that Middlesbrough and Wycombe Wanderers FC are not creditors of DCFC. If the outcome of that is that Middlesbrough and other clubs sue the EFL, then that would be very good news for all football fans, whichever club they support.
Once again, thank you for all of your efforts.
Regards,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
