The Feds I’ve dealt with here in Scotland have been fine. In the old days the cops were more a law unto themselves.

The London rozzers were the worse. I remember going to a London theatre on a school trip, and a few of us left at the interval because it was boring. We got pounced on by a gang of rozzers who turned up in two Black Marias. I’ll always remember one of the corrupt officers telling me he wasn’t impressed by the fact Ted Heath was an ex-pupil of our school. I could only imagine how it would have been for anyone of a “foreign nature”…
