The common thing about the billionaire owners is that they acquired the clubs quite cheaply and while they have pumped big sums in their return is in the value of the club which more than covers the investment.

A billionaire buying a club that is already worth billions is not something that has really happened before. There is no real return in it

Our board are clever they will know who to sell to if and its a might big if Abramovich had to sell. I concur there are lots of mega rich Arabs in West London having lived in London for years. But it depends how Roman leaves Chelsea. Ig he has left it in multi-debts worth billions, I doubt Chelsea would attract any mug be them millionaire or billionaire who would invest and take on the risk.
The football side isn't too bright either right now too. It could be the last season in the PL for Chelsea.

Ultimately it would be depend on whether Abramovich recalled his loans. A quick glance at the accounts of Fordstam Ltd (the parent company of Chelsea FC), states that he has no intention of calling in his loads (per the 2021 accounts).

I’m not sure what the implications of any of his assets being frozen would be.

There will be no selling the club, no investing from him if his assets are frozen which they will be. It will have to run on its own steam for a few years until this is all over and relations with Putin normalised.

Unless this is the type of decision the trust can take but then who does the buyer pay. More likely a grinding limbo for years
