Fantastic article.
A really sad day for Leeds United. There was something magical about having Bielsa at the club, a real connection between fans and the club again.
Flattened the entire atmosphere at the club now. Will be a very strange atmosphere back at Elland Road.
Thank you for everything Marcelo.
Almost certain that Masimo doesn't stoop to Social Media, whilst I know, he knows what those who have love in their hearts for the club think of him. He most likely has never heard of JA606.
It would be nice if we could somehow communicate to him how those "special moments and memories" to us the average supporter.

Not sure why I was thinking celino, my earlier comment obviously.
No the dark days were yesterday, last Wednesday and last Sunday
Excellent article Monty
Don't think there's been a more honest, humble and principled manager.
Been generally a joy to watch his teams and I think it's only Leeds supporters who truly understand what he has achieved.
Excellent article Jonty
Bloody predictive text
Marcelo an honorable man of integrity. A man of principal and diplomacy to the club.
He gave the club and supporters a sample of what we had missed for many years under successive dubious chancers.
Thank you.
Radz, Orta, Angus…b@st@rds the lot!
Well said Jonty. Tough day

Lowfields please stop thinking of yourself and your own disappointments.
A sad day for Leeds United.
MB brought us three and a half years of pride and pleasure, back to the good old days when we were admired around the country, albeit through gritted teeth.
Unfortunately football at the highest level is results and money driven. It doesn't matter who you are or who your owners are, you have to get the results or your gone.
One month ago we were 7 points clear of the relegation places, had games in hand on the 3 teams above us, and some of those below us as well, we were being led to believe that Phillips, Bamford and Coops would be back fairly soon.
Oh how things have fallen apart, In February we have picked up 1 point, conceded 20 goals in 5 games, and and are 2 points above the drop zone with Everton and Burnley now having 2 games in hand over us and Burnley are grinding out results. None of the three injured stars seems to be anywhere near to getting over their injuries despite updates for early March, which now seems not to be the case and MB seemingly unable to change his tactics which eventually proved to be his downfall.
Loyalty for past achievements is all well and good, but if it can cost you your Premier status and hundreds of millions, it's a gamble very few would be willing to take.
Gracias Marcelo.

I agree about the awful handling of this by RADZ nd the board, Jonty, but I think this says more about how, for so long, they have been in the thrall of Bielsa’ methodology and charisma. He is the one who demanded 1 year contracts, sanctioned player signings, took a part in a range of decision making few coaches would ever think about. He stayed with us for nearly four seasons. Doesn’t that tell you something? Perhaps it is because he got everything his own way and by the end, the board realised it had to stop. Yes, it was graceless, but sacking someone is pretty undignified and brings with it a fair amount of spin from different parties.
Orta, Radz and Kinnear have made mistakes, and ceding control to Bielsa may have been one of them, but boy oh boy, it was some ride while it lasted.
I’m still in a state of shock after Marcelo’s departure. This was no way to treat a man that has done so much for the club. I accept our position in the league is not good but I don’t know if the new manager will get anymore out of the players than he did, I suppose time will tell.

I certainly agree that he stayed with us because he felt supported.
But when you're buying into Bielsa it should come as no surprise that he wants things his way.
I think Bielsa actually been quite flexible, I was expecting flood of signings, him walking, it never happened, he even seemed relatively easy to manage.
I'm sure that this isn't the actual case and lots of discussions behind scenes.
What spin do you feel we've had from Bielsa on his sacking then?
