i think thats the team for sunday RnR.
i'm hopeful we can kick off again, when we have been on form this season its been brilliant to watch but outwith a return from the winter break i think my enjoyment of watching us coincides with Kyogos availability.
Livi are playing well and scoring goals, up to 4th now
so it's vital we win for 2 reasons
1 - to help us win the league
2 - to stop them getting top 6 so we don't need to go back
i'd be tempted to go 4-4-2.
Ange most defo won't though.
Be interesting to see if Livi change their tactics this time btw, they are upto 4th because they have been attacking teams and scoring goals.....usually they sit in against us 10 men behind ball. Will he go with what has worked previously against us or keep his team playing the same way?
Either way, I have the fear for it
they sit in against us and still have the best chances and usually beat/draw with us fairly comfortably
something goes wildly wrong there for us
i expect he will do what he knows works well for them against us.
good that we will have GG back tbh, get him and ajeti up top and just rattle in crosses seeing as thats our favourite thing to do these day
It really is a massive game on Sunday. Win that and we have a 2 week break in the league with the cup game in between. Also will be the last midweek/weekend game situation til one in the split so gives us a chance to properly refresh after a brutal schedule. IF we win on Sunday we'll be in a good position, especially as the GD looks decent just now, although firmly aware that can easily change with one game.
Going to be a hard test for us though and I'm not confident but that's based on previous with Livi.
In fact, even Killi and Hamilton, can't ever remember us having a comfortable win on those surfaces bar the very odd one. Think we won 3-0 at Hamilton last season but it was 0-0 at half time and an empty ground etc.
Never played well once on the Kilie surface and haven't ever played well on the Livi one.
The 2-2 draw in the snow last season probs the best we have played as we missed alot of chances but that was down to conditions. Would love it to rain on sunday but doesn't look like it will so it will be a dry horribble pitch
i hate playing livi as much as i have playing hamilton.
its a brass neck having a plastic pitch in top tier football.

Id take that livi pitch over Mcdairmids any day. I dont think the ball rolled once in that game. Ball bounced more than Lakers game.
It is shocking, I wouldnt be shocked at all if St Johnstone cut the park up before kick off. Genuinely one of the worst surfaces Iv seen for a long time
By the law of averages your bound to beat Livi and GVB is bound to make a sub.
We’ll generally always struggle against teams that are happy to play with such an incredibly defensive formation. There’s a lack of space, and you’re either needing someone to produce something special, or get the break of the ball.
Teams know that if they attack us, then there’s a good chance they’ll get some opportunities-but they also know that they’ll leave gaps that can be exploited. They’ll choose the lower risk option. Our choices for changing it up are a bit limited just now-last night especially-so we keep doing what we can to force the issue.
Didn’t think we’d score last night, so to get 2 and make the ending more comfortable was decent. Knew rangers had scored early on, so thought they would go on to get a cricket score. Sounds like they struggled at least as much as us.

we were rotten last night, absolute rotten. the pitch was as bad a surface as I can remember. But out the last three games that is y far the poorest we have played and least amount of chances we created but was the game we won.... go figure!
Horrible game last night. Saw about the last hour of it.
Absolute tattie field.
Didnt think the result was ever in doubt but the players had real issues moving the ball about.
They generally had to lift it off the surface to pass it which meant the player receiving the ball had to take an extra touch or two to get it under control before moving it on.
The whole game slowed down as a result.
3 points and lets never speak of it again.

Tons of positives.
=======
i struggle to see positives in how we have played since the motherwell game.
it's a transition season, but lets not sprinkle litter on a schite and say its looking good at present, it's really not.
i don't expect us to win the league and as i say we have overachieved if we do given the schitshow that was left.
you're allowed to say we are brilliant when we are brilliant and schite when we are schite and the last few games we have been schite.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm saying there are lots of positives within the overall disappointing performances. The only REAL scheite has been v Bodo. The rest is just stuffy grinding out results which all teams have to do to win a league, even the invincible year. The only difference is the tightness of the title race.
How many points to win the title - it has averaged 90.8 over the last 22 years. We are on 70 with 27 still to play for - title winning form, a huge positive irrespective whether anyone thinks we are favourites or not.
January recruitment got us back in the race - massive.
Slag Maeda but we'd be playing Mikey Johnston otherwise.
Slag MOR but we'd be playing Rogic otherwise.
Slag Jota etc.
Starfelt last night was very good - not so often we can say that.
We are where we are consistently fielding one of the youngest teams in the league typically 3-4 years less than our nearest opponents.
Like Ginger, I just don't see a major issue.
