Long winded way to have a dig at Rob for Poch being a bottler, but I'm into it. 5

Depends on the circumstances

For example, last night anyone with eyes could see that Poch should’ve brought off Neymar and/or Messi for someone who works hard to see the game off. Yes he can’t predict the goalie is going to have a mate but he can sure things up.

That would be a mistake, not bottling surely?

It’s a bottle because taking off big names like Messi and Neymar is a big decision that he wimped out of making.

Because they lost. Had they won then he displayed bottle, by doing the same thing that would have been 'bottling' had they lost. Seems the same action can be one or the other and its determined simply by if you lose or not.

I think it's more to do with players than managers. For example if a player hides on the pitch in a big game it's easier to single them out.

Well yes obviously, but when you’re 2-0 up in a tie you’re far more likely to go through by shutting up shop than you are from changing nothing.

Depends on the circumstance like people have said. Last night not changing tactics to rest on the teams 2-0 lead was bizarre & probably a case of him making the wrong decisions which can be defined as "bottling".

However losing to a better Liverpool side in a CL final after a nonsense handball a couple of mins into the game there isn't much you can do after that.

If the manager's name is Ole then its down to him losing a cup final.

Most other times its down to the players on the pitch not being good enough or not 'at it' enough to beat the winners

I'm pretty sure last night at half time while leading 1-0 on the night and 2-0 in the tie Poch would have told his players to keep playing like they have been and don't make any silly errors in defense.

Then had to watch an experienced goalkeeper and then the captain make shocking errors and then their heads went and conceded the third goal.

The players thru the game away last night.

Even aside from that, Mbappe/Messi/Neymar is the laziest strikeforce in footballing history - could have at least subbed one of them off around the 60 min mark for a player who actually wants to defend.

It’s daft really. A manager doesn’t bottle a win.

Just let it go, it’s ok.

PSG problem is their league is too easy, the intensity of a game last night gets to them, even us although somewhat fortunately knocked them out of the Cl, Poch bit of a Meh for me would rather have simione a bit of ferocity from the touch line and definately not a bottler unless a McFred masterclass does them 5-0 next week

Doesn’t stop Bayern doing well in Europe.

There’s obviously a bit of a mentality issue at the club because they’ve often bottled incredible positions, but there’s also the issue that the squad they have isn’t actually as good as is made out, and have been unable to really built a team because of how they’ve constructed the squad.
