Best game for Klich in years. Like his old self. James up front just doesn't work. Joffys on five mins and we score. Just play players in the correct positions! First half we were excellent. Didnt think the subs worked. Should have brought Joffy on for Bamford, Harrison was poor. Overall delighted though!!! We won!!!
Great win, and very deserved. The amount of chances Leeds need to score, however, are a concern.
Still, tonight we are just happy with the win
When you look at the league table in May and see us 1 or 2 points ahead of the drop, you'll think back to today. That was very nearly Wigan.
That was one scaryass game to watch!
Really need to take our chances. Is Raph on a bonus for every time he hits the woodwork?
We got the points. On to the next heart attack...
PS - did anyone else see Orta bawling his eyes out at the end of the game?
Say what you like about his player scouting, he's definitely emotionally invested in the club.
Thanks Jonty that summary gives me a good indication of how we fared today as I just wasn't in the mood to be stressed out for 90 minutes again.
So I checked the result on my phone at what I thought would be full time just as Norwich equalised and sat with sad resignation that was us done and switched off my phone and stared out of my lounge window and could see a couple of magpies perched on the branches of the giant oak tree across the road from where I live.
Typical I thought not even a goodluck sign of seeing 2 magpies can do Leeds any favours... What a load of superstuous nonsense.
Oh well, not to be, lets have a look what team this new useless boss picked, I bet he's squarepegged the players again as I switched onto the BBC football site and saw to my amazement Gelhardt had made it 2-1 and it was a full time score.... Come on, get in, get in.. yessssss
So so relieved but like you say it's only Norwich and we are still in the brown stuff but at least until Friday we can dream of survival, so I'll take that and look forward ti watching the highlights on MOTD2 tonight.
Macca, you missed a great match to watch, hope MOTD2 does it justice!
Raph for our second...
Just take a minute to appreciate everything he does there.
Its not just the initial winning of the ball or going round the keeper.
But in the final seconds of the game, from that angle, to square it and not try himself.
That takes a level of awareness that is boarding on the sublime, how many players would have gone for the right angle, but to square it ro another player... thats just an amazing, amazing, piece of play.
Agree Outwood, Klich was brilliant. They all gave everything. Raph looks reawakened. Which is massive
for the coming seeks. We need him. KP and Coops
back soon I hope. Start Joffy please. Great day.
I hope Raphinha is back on form now. We need him to be at his best and play like that in every game till the end of the season.
Elephant in room, I'm starting to wonder if Raph's dip in form was maybe related to an issue between him and MB. Wild speculation I know. But he wasn't happy last few weeks of MB's tenure. Then JM comes in and we see what seems to be a rejuvenated star.

Id start with bamford for now and bring on geldheardt.
Mainly because I'm more confident that if bamford got a kick in say the 10th or 20th minute geldheardt right now is in a better place physically to see out more of the game than bamfors is.
If it was the other way round and you started geldheardt, I wouldn't be so sure that bamford could last a full 70-80 minutes at this very moment in time
I think if Bamford starts and then goes off, you bring on Gelhardt then surely... Why did JM think Harrison was the right sub for Bamford ?
All that does is knacker the balance by effectively square pegging players having 3 wingers, making one of them a centre forward .. I wish he would stop doing that.

A similar experience for me Macca. As I mentioned on the match day thread have been finding this genuinely stressful which is not good for a couple of health issues I have (not heart thankfully)so sat out the 90 minutes and joined at 88 minutes refreshed a few minutes later to see 1:1. Like many you're thinking that may be that only for a remarkable turnaround and we get the win.
It's a stepping stone and something to build on. The players showed the level of urgency and determination that are essential in a relegation battle. It was against a poor team but it is now vital we take that mentality into all remaining 9 games, whoever the opponent and fight for every ball and every point. Do that and we might just do it.
Rob, I'm going to do the same as today for the forseeable as the joy I get from a favourable result like we did this afternoon is good enough for me and I will enjoy the highlights later.
I actually don't mind not physically seeing it as at nearly 55 years of age my capacity to withstand the torturous roller-coaster of emotions that Leeds always puts us through, is at borderline levels.
Going to the game in the flesh when I can is not quite as bad but watching on tv or listening on the radio is far more stressful and although I don't have any heart issues or history of heart problems, when you hear of someone like Shane Warne at 52 dieing of a heart attack it just makes you think.
Anyway let's hope today isn't a flash in the pan and we can get something at Wolves beat Southampton and then beat Watford and that should give us plenty of breathing space plus a few more draws or hopefully another win to get us to that safety mark of around 36 points which I think should be more than enough to survive this season.
We look miles better with Bamford on. As long we get Phillips back soon, we’ll be ok.
Feeling much better after 3 points

Already had that, jumped started in the ambulance and 3 stents fitted, still got probs on L/side of heart, and I too feel it's less stressful when you are there...............so any ticket donations will be gratefully received
It was stressful there believe me. My heart rate at 1-0 on 72mins was 109. People rang in the radio with 159 at 2-1.
I said to the guy next to me - When we defend, it’s like being a kid watching Dr Who, when you wanted to hide behind the settee.
Such relief at full time.
Sunny days are here again. Loving the lighter nights. Bamford back, Cooper and Kalv to follow. Feels like the dark depressing winter is over.

Flipping eck Highland I didn't know that but hopefully that's all behind you now and like my old gran used to say to me appreciate your life and appreciate yourself because out of all those millions of sperm it was yours that won the race to be born, so you're 1 in a million... never forget it.
I didn't know either Highland, didn't realise you had heart issues, thought it was just old age stuff now you're over 90.
Great win, still under the weather with covid so didnt go, good job as not sure I'd have made it out of the ground, reminded me of Bristol Rovers a bit today,
Cheers Macca, wise words from your Gran, just try to keep living my life as I always did, Grandkids help
