They’re broke
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they are not, borrowed another 1.6 billion for the stadium but also rolled up a budget for player in that. How do you think they bought Torres? With Monopoly notes?
Barcelona already have an operating limit of £80million this season alone.
Doesn’t matter what they have to spend on reducing their debts from previous extravagances, they have restriction on what they can spend on players, which are included in operating costs.
Wasn’t it Raphinha who said he felt undervalued?
Well, Leeds certainly aren’t undervaluing him, so he has nothing to complain about.
Hope we hold out for a decent price if he does go. Sick of the club rolling over on the price when buying or selling players.
BBC now reporting it. Hope Raph can produce some amazing memories before he leaves.
Only a very top club is likley for him, makes sense. Hope we get a good deal, sounds like players will come this way as part of the deal.
That'll pay for Aaronson who apparently Marsch wants signing first. Perhaps Orta will finally get Lang aswell, direct replacement. Think Barca suits him tbh
ESPN reporting it now also. This from them:
"While Leeds have previously rejected an offer of €35 million, Raphinha's agent -- former Barcelona star Deco -- is trying to persuade the Premier League club to accept the offer, with the two sides also discussing the possibility of including defender Oscar Mingueza as part of the deal."
I know nothing of Oscar Mingueza. If he's like Firpo,
no thank you. And Raph's agent trying to get us to accept 35 mill (Euros) seem ballsy. We owe Raph nothing and much less Barcelona. Hope the
club tells them 60 mill or we'll sell to someone else.
Reports out of Germany saying we're asking for
80 million Euros. And Barcelona are saying they'll
only pay 35. Eff them. And, club reiterating his
release clause is only if we get relegated. Good.
barca now looking to offer £30 mill + trincao, who barca want £25 mill for, so basically £55 mill for raffi, sounds good to me not quite the £60 mill was expecting but trincao looks a talent.
€35m in the summer and another €35m in January…I think I could live with that. Definitely no overpaid rejects in part exchange, they’ve already had our pants down with Firpo.
