i think the 3 consecutive WC final defeats a few years back really affected him and his bottle in finals

Judd is actually 7th or 8th favourite this year for me, I just don't seem very confident in his game at the moment. I really hope that changes. He will probably get to the quarter finals at a push.

My worst Judd Trump defeats in terms of him losing matches where he should have won / threw away are:

2020 UK championship final
2019 Champion of champions final
2019 Tour championship semi final
2012 Shangahi Masters final

There are more but these are the ones I instantly think of and can never get over.

There will be instances of these for all the top players.

WC final vs Slowby was painful as was the Masters final loss to Bingtao. You can then add the losses in the NI open and English open this year in deciders after being 2 up with 3 to play. There will be others as far as John is concerned

I'm watching a bit of the qualifiers. Zhang Anda won 6-0 against young 17 year old Ukranian Anton Kazakov.

Judd said after his lost last week that he needed a break, I'd love Ronnie to be number 1 after the W/C 😉, my worst loss for Ronnie was the world final in 2014 against Selby.. He gained revenge in the 2020 semi, but he could already be a 7 time world championship

Those comments from Judd don't help and makes me think he isn't going to be up for it I hope he is just saying it to take all the pressure off but it doesn't bode very well.
Selby winnning the world final in 2014 was good for the game.

Worst for Ronnie was the loss to David Gray in 2000 WC

Jimmy’s final losses were really painful too, probably more.

I would’ve thought Judd’s most painful loss was first round WC to Rory McLeod as he had such an easy half of the draw that year.

Hendry losing the 2002 world final was very painful.

Oh yea, the David Gray loss... Ronnie was totally dominant then, scored 5 centuries & lost 10-9! Bit like last week 😂

Another horrible loss was Ebdon in 2005, Ronnie was 8-2 up ended up losing 13-11

I think that year all the other top players lost early too.

Yea, that was the year Ronnie shaved his head mid match.. Ebdon got under his skin.. That would NOT happen these days... Shocking loss though
