Ronnie is due a win over Higgins, although Maguire is playing well, I see Ronnie winning that 13-8, just checked the head to head, frames played 799, 402 to Ronnie 397 to John 😂

I'm not a fan of a player losing a match in which they've had a 147. It seems unfair that perfection hasn't been rewarded.

A bit like a knock out in boxing if a player gets a maximum that should be game over.

That's the 4th time in Crucible history that a player has made a 147 but gone out to lose the match. Ronnie in 2003, Hendry in 2009, Higgins in 2020 and now Robbo in 2022.

yeah but what can you do? can't have a golden buzzer

bit like a 9 darter I guess, it wins you a leg not a game

Quarter finals are always nervy. All players are desperate to get to the one table.

how do you make 20 world championship quarter finals? absolutely ridiculous record.

so far it's pretty sloppy and scrappy stuff from him, needs to get on it

Maguire really needs to win this first session to have any chance.

Ronnie leads 3-1, he's been there for the taking in these first 4 frames. No chance he is losing this now barring a miracle.

Maguire must be furious with himself.

2-2 on the other table

I'm happy for Ronnie to get out of the session level, anything else is a bonus, get the tip sorted for tonight, & unbelievably they play at 7pm & again at 10am tomorrow!

Some bizarre scheduling. Probably to prevent having too many go to the wire at the same time, like last night.

Higgins is on tomorrow afternoon and evening. Would make sense to play morning and night, and afternoon today.

Ronnie's breaks are terrible... Always letting his opponent in...

4-1, to easy for a dodgy Ronnie, which is great for me 😊👌😂

I can see Ronnie winning this match like 13-5, he is currently playing at his c game and still doing enough, he will improve this evening and Maguire will lose it.

6-1 now... 👏👏

123 break, his 190th at the Crucible... Ominous signs for Maguire

Yan really blowing it now.

can ron do him with a session to spare

Ronnie 6-2 up amd Williams 6-2 up. Both matches are over barring a miracle unfortunately.

Yes but it gives a player getting slaughtered a punchers chance and keeps the match alive.

In a game like this I'm sure Maguire wishes the option was there.

Williams was always going to beat Yan.

Expect Williams to get to the final possibly
