Do you think Ronnie packs it in after reaching 7?

Can't see it whilst he's still bringing in top money

I do think Trump deserves praise for making the final, he's not been in great form this year. Fought and scraped past Williams, but Ronnie is a completely different animal

Rooney, the new " chalk" stops the cue ball kicking apparently...

😂 So why don’t they use it!? What are the downsides?

Good stuff 12-5, must keep the pressure on tomorrow.

Judd has done great to get to the final considering the season he’s had, he has battled through every match. He is always dangerous and still is.

Ronnie is a traditionalist, & won't swap, don't know Judd's reason.. Perhaps he might after today.. 😂

I don’t know why they don’t use it, but I suppose Ronnie can argue with ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’. He has won 6 world titles already with it, so maybe feels he doesn’t need to change.

Yup just true... I'd take 4-4 in the afternoon tomorrow...

I haven’t played snooker since the early 2000s

I thought the chalk would stop miscues and kicks are when the balls jump. I always thought the best way to stop that is clean the cue ball, sometimes even the object ball.

Just saw a replay of Ronnies run in with the ref, and he said to the ref, ‘don’t start’, while pointing at him, not a good look.

I think the new chalk doesn’t transfer from the tip of the cue to the balls, therefore preventing any kicks caused by particles being on the balls, causing excessive friction or whatever the technical term is.

You don’t see chalk marks over the tables anymore. Ronnie however spends half his time wiping the table.

Lol Ronnie looked like an angry Uncle at a wedding telling the kids to stop annoying him…

Normally I’d say there’s always two sides to it, but not necessarily the case with Ronnie! At least he didn’t headbutt him.

Will Judd get to double figure frames?

posted on 1/5/22

His first objective is to ensure the match goes into an evening session. 2nd objective would be to get into double figures. 3rd objective would be to make the score respectable.

If Trump can win tomorrow afternoons session 6-2 it will make it interesting,

What happened to bbc montages about the tournament?

Or shot of the championship?

Do they still do that, I usually don’t watch what they do in the studio, just watch the snooker

6-2 makes it 14-11... I'll settle for 3-5 at the worst....

What a day ahead.... I hope... Ronnie joining Hendry on that iconic 7 world titles.... I guess the only thing that beats that is getting to 8... But let's not get ahead of myself... He's still got number 7 to get yet.... 👏👏

Assuming Judd loses this final it would actually be even more concerning for him going forward based on stats. No player in Crucible history has gone on to win multiple world titles when they have played in 3 or more finals and won 1. Ken Doherty, Graeme Dott, Peter Ebdon and Shaun Murphy are examples of these players. Yes of course Judd is a far better player compared to those 4 but that is worrying.

I presume if Ronnie wins the top 4 will be Ronnie, Selby,, Robbo then Judd?

posted on 2/5/22

Judd will win this 3 or 4 times... He's got 14 years on the 92 mob... It's Robbo at 40 who might not...

posted on 2/5/22

It would be 1. Ronnie, 2. Judd, 3. Selby, 4. Robbo.
Judd would actually only be 27,000 points Ronnie losing this final but Judd will have a lot of points to defend over the season, I think it is over 500,000

posted on 2/5/22

amazing how poor Robbo's record is in the World's...just 1 win, and only 3 times a semi finalist !

posted on 2/5/22

If that's the case we might see some Selby Judd matches next year if they are 2 & 3....
