I believe his first few companies he did a fair bit of work on, one of them basically became paypal, but pretty much since then he either leeches or basically just throws ideas out there whilst the actual boffins working for him do the work.
Be nice to have a Social Media platform that doesn't bias the far left to be honest. Elon advocates free speech, which should be the case with all social media platforms.
Certainly a villainous feeling growing around Elon Musk though, a brilliantly strange man.

Twitter is free speech, you just can't cause a riot and as a result the death of people.
On a more important note, he is going to be a witness for Amber Heard against Johnny Depp in their latest round of court battles.

What he said basically amounts to 'it would he nice to have a social media platform that allows for inciting violence and hatred'.
Even before he owned 10% of the company, his behaviour on Twitter was fairly sociopathic. Improper comments on stocks he owned; misogyny; using his large following to incite pile-ons against people he squabbles with - most notably with the outrageous slur against the diver who pointed out that Musk's magic submarines wouldn't work in the rescue of the kids trapped in the caves in Thailand.
Musk himself is clearly at least a bit of a tw@ and most probably falls short of being a cartoonish super-villain. The bigger problem is structural. The more our information spaces and technological landscape is dominated by the super-rich, the less democratic they are. If we want the big choices of the next generation to be made in the interests of the many, we shouldn't be relying on powerful individuals proving themselves to be altruistic geniuses rather than narcissistic fools. What we need is democratisation of media and R&D agendas.

Think it's a stretch to say he advocates free speech, given his behaviour over the years, and he recently tried to bribe a Twitter account to stop tweeting about his private jet.
He just wants whatever benefits him, like most billionaires.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
From Wikipedia:
In 1999, Musk co-founded X.com, an online financial services and e-mail payment company.[57] The startup was one of the first federally insured online banks, and, in its initial months of operation, over 200,000 customers joined the service.[58] The company's investors regarded Musk as inexperienced and had him replaced with Intuit CEO Bill Harris by the end of the year.[59] The following year, X.com merged with online bank Confinity to avoid competition.[46][59][60] Founded by Max Levchin and Peter Thiel,[61] Confinity had its own money-transfer service, PayPal, which was more popular than X.com's service.[55][62] Within the merged company, Musk returned as CEO. Musk's preference for Microsoft software over Linux created a rift in the company and caused Thiel to resign.[63] Due to resulting technological issues and lack of a cohesive business model, the board ousted Musk and replaced him with Thiel in September 2000.[64][note 2] Under Thiel, the company focused on the PayPal service and was renamed PayPal in 2001.[66][67] In 2002, PayPal was acquired by eBay for $1.5 billion in stock, of which Musk—the largest shareholder with 11.72% of shares—received $175.8 million.[68][69]
All of these platforms have only one bias, to make money.
If you think they are biased against your political leaning, you are in an echo chamber.
I know I should care what happens to Twitter, as it can influence many of the weak minded, and that can be detrimental to society. The Capitol Hill riots being a prime example.
I just never use it, so I can’t really judge the content on there too much. I only really see tweets if they are reported in the news.
