Well each to his own. Personally I don’t hate Boris for this. In fact I don’t hate him at all.

I do, however, think that he is a self serving, cosseted, old Etonian whose privileged existence gives him no insight into real life.

A man who has been widely condemned by his colleagues in almost every job he’s ever done for lacking any aptitude or organisation. He’s also been sacked on more than one occasion for lying.

A serial philanderer who was basically putting it about with everything that moved whilst his wife battled cancer.

A man who is nothing more than a political opportunist who has always put his own ambition above his personal integrity. He backed Brexit because it made him stand out rather than because he believed in the cause. He broke the law to prorogue parliament for his own political survival.

A man who, rather than censuring his right hand man, insulted our intelligence by putting him in front of the press and allowing him to tell us all he was “testing his eyesight”.

A man who when questioned will, deflect, lie and cheat before he’s caught and apologises.

Yes, I agree, don’t hate him just for this. There is a whole catalogue of reasons why he unfit to hold the office of Prime Minister

Well he’s not, a fixed penalty is not an admission of guilt but the sentiment is correct.

Yep, agree with all of this. I can't stand Boris, I'm a remain voter and the only reason I'd ever vote for him again is I don't trust any of the other options. More likely to abstain tbh going forward as I also can't vote for this party.

But when the whole conversation is about this ridiculous fine rather than what you've discussed, I have a problem as it's utterly facking irrelevant to him running the country. Focus on the real issues, not desperation for somebody to resign because people wished him happy birthday.

It's a bit like the race debate becoming about renaming Uncle Ben's, it's utterly facking irrelevant to the actual issues that need to be addressed and draws attention away from them.

Remember OP, this is just the first one. Police still investigating a lot of stuff. Some of the sacked will have squeaked. Left leaning civil servants may have squeaked. CCTV and diary entries may still do more damage.

Particularly all the 'friends round to the flat' stuff. Do you have a tipping point where your 'understanding' is torpedoed?

So first he denied being there.

Then denied it was a party.

Now he's paid a fine which is an admission of guilt and you still think he's trustworthy?

Really, so losing 80% of my income for about 14 months because of Government measures was just a bad dream?

posted on 12/4/22

Honestly the guy broke his own law. The average guy in the street would make a better PM.

Apologetic nonsense, him and the corrupt serial tax evader need to go, and they can take this disgusting economic Chumocracy with them. Time for a government that puts the taxpayer first.

Have you completely missed the fact that he's repeatedly lied to parliament and the country?

Repeatedly taken the populace for fools? His story on this debacle has changed more times than I can remember ffs.

If he goes it's not because he broke the law, it's that he straight up lied continually to everyone about it.

A fixed penalty notice (FPN) is a notification of what is usually a minor fine for a criminal offence, that unless settled will result in prosecution

It's a law, he broke it, they have evidence, and have sent him a community chest card saying: Pay a fine or go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect £80,000
