Seems like a strange decision. Who do they think can do a better job? Probably a money issue but why not just finish the season.

Haven't they had issues investing in the squad over the past few years? He's done what he could on a tight budget. Think it will be hard for both to move on from this.
They're 4 points off safety having won just 4 games all season. Guess they're hoping a new manager can come in and get results as has happened with Leeds and Newcastle who were behind / around them before new management came in.
It's a gamble and may well not work but you can see why they'd do it

Leveraged buy out as well. Would imagine most of the money to pay for the club would have come from future PL payments. Gonna struggle on EFL money.
