I have a feeling that we might yet snatch second.
I watched Bournemouth Fulham last night, Fulham scored a lucky goal [needed G/L technology to be given] and from one camera angle it looked like a clear pen'.
Fulham looked to be a physical side, so we will need to go there with a robust game plan & playing style. I expect Cook to start this one. It will require good discipline and a calm approach.
I have great faith in Steve Cooper that it won't be another 4-0!
Brennan Johnson young player for the team
Worrall, Spence and Yates in team of the year
Could make a case for Cooper as manager and McKenna as well but so nice to have representatives I can’t moan too much
For me Fulham is a free game.
We won't get second place so I'm not looking at b'mouth too much. Just want that one point which makes it arithmetically certain that we will be in the play offs. If not against Fulham then hopefully on Saturday.
That said I know that Cooper will send out a team to win and I think they might.
As I've said I'm not too worried what b'mouth do, but I'm keeping an eye on 'boro hoping they miss the play offs; you all know why.
First step is Blackburn beating Preston - keeps them in the hunt for their weekend game vs. Bournemouth.
Second step is us bettering Bournemouth’s result, or at the very least, not falling further behind.
Forest D @ Fulham
B.Mouth D @ Swansea = -5
Forest W v Swansea
B.Mouth D @ Blackburn = -3
Forest W @ B.Mouth
B.Mouth L v Forest = 0
Forest W @ Hull
B.Mouth W v Millwall = 0
Comes down to GD.
Last two months (11 games):
B.mouth W4 D5 L2 17/33
Forest W8 D2 L1 26/33
It’s doable, albeit highly unlikely!

Brilliant illustration Chile, but how am I going to focus at work this afternoon now! Not sure my little brain can cope with all this hope!!!
A point against Fulham is a good result regardless
Just on Johnson getting young player of the year award!
During the interview they asked him his highlight so far, he answered “scoring the goals against Derby”
The lad really is perfect

This is very good, and it is difficult to logically build a case against it happening. (Here comes the but)
But it's the Championship and the only thing you can confidently predict is that it will be unpredictable. Tonight we could win, lose, or draw, and so could Bournemouth. Teams lose games they should win and win games they should lose. But that happens less to good teams. Forest and Fulham are probably the two best teams in the Championship and I think that means the best team will win. The only other thing is the effect the ref has on the game. As we know Championship refs (and linos) are 99% poor. So two poor decisions by the ref tonight could mean the best team loses. It's happened to us this season and it might happen again before the season ends. Fingers crossed we get a good one tonight who doesn't make too many errors.
Here is a dilemma. As I live near London a friend who is a life long Fulham fan just called to say is friend who is a season ticket holder can't go tonight but did I want to join him in the home end. The challenge is will I be able to keep my emotions in check. I've only sat in the opposition end for 1 game and that was at Reading but as they have almost no fans it did not really matter. Fulham on the other hand I could see being a bit more of an issue if I suddenly cheered when we score.

I have sat in away ends fairly often as it’s hard getting tickets in our allocation. Sure you will be fine as long as you don’t break out a flag like the lads at Peterborough!

I've bought a ticket for the opposition once & it's so long ago that I can't remember where it was [ might have been Wolves ].
I didn't enjoy it and would rather listen/watch at home! not being able to cheer your team, especially in such an important match would be intolerable imo anyway.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a large section of Fulham fans that wouldn’t care if we won as would like to see us catch their former manager, certainly create a bit of interest in the last few games!
They will be in party mood regardless
Well as its a friend I have not seen for a long time I've decided to go and try to treat it as seeing a friend with a football game going on in the background.
My prediction is a Forest win and Bournemouth to draw resulting in everyone being happy.
Stroud is our ref tonight!

Are you sure, Redfor60?
Thought Josh Smith was the referee for this one, with Keith Stroud being the 4th official.
Ref 'Facts': (nicked from a Fulham site)
"Josh Smith started refereeing on the Peterborough and District Junior Alliance League aged 14 in 2006 following in the footsteps of both his dad and grandfather who had refereed football and rugby league respectively.
In 2015, Smith was promoted to the EFL Assistant Referee list completing three years on the list before opting to specialise as a referee. He then received successive promotions from the National League onto the EFL referees list and then to the Select Group 2 List of Referees ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Josh Smith has only refed two Fulham game before Tuesday's visit of Nottingham Forest and the most recent was Barnsley in November 2021 when Fulham won 4-1. Mr Smith kept his cards in his pocket for the whole match. Fulham's goals were scored by Aleksandar Mitrovic, Fabio Carvalho, Neeskens Kebano and Harry Wilson.
The only other Fulham game Mr Smith refed was when they beat Swansea City 3-1 at The Cottage at the end of September 2021. He yellow carded one player, Ben Cabango of Swansea City. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored all three goals, all in the first half.
Mr Smith last refed Nottingham Forest in early March 2022 when they drew 1-1 away at Sheffield United. He booked four United players and one Forest player.
Last season he refed 19 games and dished out 54 yellows and 2 reds, so a below average 2.8 yellows per game. So far this season he has refed 36 games and dished out 140 yellows and 5 reds, an average of 3.9 yellows per game.
His busiest game in recent times was the Championship game between Blackburn and Nottingham Forest when he yellow carded four Blackburn players and three Forest players. He rounded off with a second yellow for a Blackburn player in the 53rd minute. Forest won 2-0 ".
Unless, of course, something bad has happened to Mr Smith, meaning that meaning Mr Stroud has to take over.

It was Stroud that ref'ed the game against Wet Bum a few seasons ago where they got away with kicking us off the pitch? that was the Sabri season I think?
So the answer is....no!
I don’t know why but I just can’t get excited about tonight’s game, could be nerves, or not knowing what to expect from Fulham. They will be pretty much in party mode, which can work either for or against us. Silva will be in the stands after his red at Bournemouth. If they go all out full strength first eleven, I fancy our chances rather than a weakened care free team, the reason being the first choice have nothing to prove. I’m sure we’ll give a much better account of ourselves than the home match, but can’t honestly see us winning. The second best outcome is to match Bournemouth, and hope to do better than them at the weekend. I hate to be pessimistic but Fulham 2-1, though of course I’d love to be wrong.
I want to watch this game so badly but it's not even on Bet365.
