I haven't bought a kit since 2006 but I don't mind this one though. I prefer a collar on shirts anyway so I may consider getting it. Having said that the training tops/casual wear are usually better.

I don't buy shirts either, have considered a retro one for games though.

The details on the collar is a bit weird and I dont like how basic the shield round the crest is. All together a bit random but its fine. I think our home kits should have more white than black personally, think black should inly be a small element and the stripes should usually be white.

The Independent website is the worst one. They may be doing great journalism at the moment for all I know, but it's impossible to read.

I'm with 1982 on the kit. Detailing on the colour is over-fussy and the shield around the badge is rubbish. Yes, it's a reference to the kit of glorious 1999, but the sad truth is that kit wasn't a good one.

I also don't want to know how 'Donna' in (insert place name) makes £50k a month using this simple approach.

Tbh not a fan. Never been a great fan of collars on kits since the 96-97 one where the grey really didn't appeal. And I'm not keen on the black Adidas stripes or the badge either.

Definitely prefer the current one, though kits do tend to grow on me through familiarity

This link has more pics, actually don't mind it. Much prefer the shade of red used for this kit, slightly darker, closer to the colour we had in the 90s. Looks great in the pic with Sancho.

Don't like it at all. Don't mind a collar but don't really like that one.

The ‘99 CL shield around the crest is quite different, we actually copied it on the ‘19 kit.

I have a mate that works at the Independent and I've sent him a few screenshots in the past asking him to sort it out.

It's absolutely horrendous to read.

I used to pay for the Independent, they’re one of the better news outlets.

Agree it’s not even readable now.

I like the style and the collar, always prefer a retro feel to kits. The shield looks awful though like a knock off one from a market. So basic like the designer typed in ‘shield shape’ on clip set and plonked our badge in the middle of it.
