The fact resignation is on the table because he has a beer is facking ludicrous.
Playing devil's advocate here, do you think Starmer has just put pressure on the police to chose a side?
He (or his lackies) PLANNED a beer and take-away evening AFTER a "hard day's campaigning" but chose to tell everyone it was an impromptu gathering before returning to work.
A leaked memo told us all we need to know, Starmer is a politician and all they know is how to lie. That's it in a nutshell. If a politician's lips are moving, they are most likely lying.
Are we sure this is true? I have always considered politicians and people with power to be honest as the day is long.

They’re all khunts and as bad as each other all liars, Drakeford and Sturgeon did similar too, Drakeford at a wedding and Sturgeon being maskless when standing and chatting in restaurants
To be fair though we all broke the rules anyway on at least one occasion so guess we as humans are just all khunts

I can honestly say I never attended a party with 30+ guests and a DJ during Lockdown.
He knows they aren't going to find him guilty, so he can say that. 100% would not quit if he did.
He's an idiot and just wrecked it for the labour party, for being a massive hypocrite.
Starmer and Labour say they have evidence they continued working after their break, which if true will show they broke zero rules.
Bit different to having a birthday party or bringing in suitcases full of alcohol.

But that's the point, if Labour and Starmer's accounts are true then they didn't take the same risk.
Work lunches were permitted within the rules, birthday parties or garden parties were not.
I do agree though that I don't really care about the rule breaking, it's the more the constant denial and lying from Boris and co that pisses me off.
You cannot, under any circumstances, conflate 16 parties inside Downing Street with a beer and a curry after a campaign strategy meeting.
Like his North Korean counterpart, Dim John Son’s political credit is now reaching bankruptcy levels.
Starmer, after last week’s results, seems to have secured a re-mortgage to tide him over.

Oh, Really?
If you had even the slightest of handles on this topic you would understand that Starmer called for Johnson’s resignation - not because of the many boozy events in Number Ten - but because he repeatedly lied to Parliament about it, you oaf.
People have just become such utter khunts with the whole covid thing. Judgemental beyond belief and I'm not talking about Boris's moronic behaviour we all know that's wrong and he should have been gone a long time ago.
But considering the initial "scandal" was the birthday cake episode which Labour attacked him for vehemently at the time, this strikes me as rank hypocrisy when Starmer did the same thing.
Frankly I'd like these idiots to stop making our political scene a soap opera so we can focus on the fact that our country is being run into oblivion with no opposition whatsoever capable of holding them to account.

This is why mud slinging is such an effective weapon and why Boris does it. To idiots, Starmer is guilty regardless of the outcome of the investigation and even though there is no equivalence; they'll trot out the line that they're all the same.
I'm not really sure you can have an effective opposition when they have an 80 seat majority and 95% of the Tory's have no spine.

Also, there is not a lot you can do when the Prime Minister spends parliament lying and not answering question.
Starmer has to wrestle with a pig every week. When you wrestle a pig you both get dirty and the pig will enjoy it.

Oh, dear. John Craig’s article on the Sky News website this morning - from which you took this risible quote - simply demonstrates the level to which british journalism has sunk.
The only reason Starmer should resign is due to the fact he demanded it of Boris.
Neither of the fixed penalty notices are a reason to step down imo but maybe Starmer should have reigned it in a bit when he demanded Boris resigned. Raynor too should fall on her sword for the same stupid demands. They even demanded it just for the investigation!
It’s just coming home to roost I guess but I’m sure Boris would rather Forensic Starmer remained as Labour leader
