"I felt in the first half when I sprinted, I felt a twinge behind my knee, I played on. In the end, I can’t risk it for the team and I need to trust Joel. Hopefully it will be fine.”
He had a serious ACL injury so being substituted makes sense. As for his performance today, thought he was the worst of the team and Liverpool can probably cope without him against Real Madrid.

We need Van Dijk for bigger occasions this season. Today wasn't season defining unlike Chelsea who's season has been a damp squib.
